As every student is unique my teaching style really depends on the student! Some want to learn for fun, others are studying for exams or college. As a result its really important for me to tailor my lessons towards each student and what they would like to work on. For some that could mean working on vocal technique, others working on music and repertoire. I’m adept at adapting to each student’s individual talents and vocal needs and therefore its important that for that each student progresses at a pace that they are comfortable with.

About Biraj

A native of London, England, my recent engagements include the role of Tirsi in Marco de Gagliano’s La Dafne with the European Opera Academy in Bauska, Latvia in July, creating the role of Kenny Fuller in the world premiere of Francis Trester’s ‘Keepers of the Light’ at the Nahant Music Festival in

Ron has been my piano instructor for the past three years. I find him to be very knowledgeable in jazz as well as classical music. He goes above the allotted time to ensure your understanding of instructions, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times, even with wit in his oral approach. I would not hesitate to recommend him for piano instruction at all levels!

"What's that knob do?" "What happens if I press this button?" Square wave? Pulse wave? FM? ADSR? LFO?...
AUUUUGH!!
If you know absolute zero, or maybe a little about synthesis, here's your chance to learn what all those knobs and blinky lights do. Starting with the most basic concepts (waveforms, filters, sound manipulation, etc.), we'll get you up and running on your shiny new toy.
No dull, lab-coated lectures here! We can go as slow, or as fast as you want, with a bit of dry humor sprinkled about.
Since it's easier to get where you're going if you know where you've been, you'll learn just enough history to hopefully inspire you to search further in your quest for synth enlightenment.

About Doug

Doug has been involved with synthesizers since 1976, his first being a PAiA Gnome kit. Early influences include Tangerine Dream, Todd Rundgren, Brian Eno, David Bowie, and Isao Tomita. Since then, he has steadily worked his way up the synth food chain. He now owns a LOT of analog and digital synths

"As usual, Phiilip is very patient and supportive of our daughter taking piano
lessons for the first time. He makes her very comfortable, which is not easy with
a 6-year-old, and she leaves the lesson wanting to practice and learn more."

"Omar is the man. I drive 30-60 minutes to get to lessons (depending on traffic) and he is 100% worth it. It's apparent that Omar is educated on, passionate about and thrives through music. He is attentive to my goals and goes above and beyond to help support my learning. He's an excellent instructor and inspiring, charismatic human being. I achieved a great deal learning ukulele from Omar and I'll be returning to him this year to be instructed on bass guitar."

"I tried taking singing lessons before, but I always saw very little progress from them and would get so boring. Benjamin has done a great job! Not only lessons are entertaining and challenging but people around me are starting to notice that my singing is improving. You can tell he has a lot of experience and knowledge in the matter. He is also very versatile (we have sang from classical Italian music all the way to 80s hair rock music). I 100% recommend this teacher!"

"We love Sarah. It is just as simple as that. Not only is she a great singer herself but also an excellent teacher. She teaches our 10 year-old daughter and the progress she has made is tremendous. Sarah is able to uncover our girl's beautiful singing voice and I am thinking of taking classes myself now.
She makes all lessons fun and the fact that Sarah is classically trained is invaluable."

Edwin is a natural when it comes to music. He can hear a complicated song and know what chords/rhythm to play. He is also very knowledgeable about music theory and the technical aspects of guitar playing. I highly recommend him as a teacher."

"My sister and I have been taking piano lesson with Randy for about two and a half years. No words can describe how grateful we are to have found Randy. He has taken our piano experience into a whole new level. His method of teaching is great and most importantly fun. He is not only our music teacher but he is now our life mentor and a family. He is always so patience with us even when we make him work too hard. THE BEST PERSON IN THE UNIVERSE!!! (Sophia)"
