My love for the piano started at the age of thirteen. I majored in Music Education at Frostburg State University, and studied piano under various professors. I have eleven years experience in teaching children and adults the piano. I hope to convey a love of music during lessons. Playing the piano shouldn't be stressful. It should be rewarding, relaxing, and fun.

About Jocelyn

I received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Frostburg State University. The piano was my main instrument of study. I have taught piano lessons to people of various ages. I believe that anyone can learn how to play the piano. Music is an experience that can help boost one's self

Jocelyn, has been working with my daughter for about a year. She is very patient and encouraging. The most important thing when I chose to use Takelessons.com was to ensure that those offering their services truly enjoyed their gift. Jocelyn has that gift and she is so enthusiastic about music!!! Highly recommend her for children as well as first time adults!!! Thanks

I've been teaching piano for over 8 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to read music and play simple songs and as time goes on you'll be able to play songs in any genre and style that you so choose. I specialize in classical piano and accompanying (especially musical theatre), typically using the Piano Adventures books, but depending on the age and level the repertoire will be adjusted! I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Rachel provides instructions that are understandable, and that you can use to improve your technical skills and make true progress. She has also change my approach to piano practising. I believe I enjoy practising more and with greater efficiency. She is very talented, also has a great personality, bubbly and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Rachel!

I met Robby in college and he was a really good guitar player. I wanted to learn from him as much as I could. He actually took the time to set me up with lessons and gave me very specific stuff to practice. He would check in with me every couple weeks and see if I had any questions and how I was doing. I moved and had to stop lessons for a year or two. A few years later I called him and asked to get together for a couple lessons. He was blown away at how much I improved and was so genuinely happy for me. We still talk every week and if I ever have a guitar question I call him. He's my friend, and he's gonna be a famous guitar player some day.

I started learning from Rob 5 years ago. I didn't think he'd want to spend time teaching me because I didn't know anything about guitar and he was so good. I was so wrong! Since our first lesson, he treated me like a friend, and 5 years later and we are great friends. I started off being able to play a couple notes, and now I can pay solos and songs and learn just about anything I want! Thanks Rob! Take Lessons from this guy! He's the Best!

My brother told me he found this great guitar teacher, and I was skeptical because he has been playing guitar for a long time and has never really sounded good. Two weeks after he mentioned him, all of the sudden he didn't suck any more. He was actually kinda good. So I tried a lesson with him and Wow! Within my first lesson I was already able to play a song! I can't afford lessons since I'm in school right now, but my brother still takes lessons with him. Even though I no longer take lessons with him I still call Rob and ask him questions about guitar all of the time, and he always makes time for me. I don't know where my brother or I would be without him. Great Teacher. Great Friend.

I offer focus areas for students to explore in addition to general piano skill building. This means that after a couple of lessons (depending on the student’s individual progress), half of our lesson time is dedicated to an optional focus area that a student chooses: Piano Composition/Transcription, Music History [with a concentration in Piano History], Music Theory [including aural skill development], and Piano Performance. Lessons are mostly structured around the student’s determined learning objectives, but once those are established, I communicate my expectations as a facilitator.

About Lauren

Hi! I am a piano teacher and artist from Lutz, FL. My teaching career started in the summer of 2018 when I moved to Atlanta, GA, but I have been creating instructional materials for about three years.

Steve is an excellent teacher! I always look forward to my classes. "Andy is a thoughtful teacher who clearly spends considerable time figuring out how to tailor the lesson to the needs of the student. He combines rhythm activities and note reading and theory in ways that are fun, and creative, and help keep young students engaged and excited to learn. In the several months since my seven-year-old started, he reads music better than I do, but more importantly, he loves playing on the piano."

"Best teacher of all

Our daughter has been taking piano lessons from Fawn for 3 years now. We are so amazed how patient she always is with her, and how far our girl has come. She has far surpassed her classmates who started at the same time with other teachers. We couldn’t be happier to have chosen Fawn. We are impressed with how Fawn changes and grows along with our daughter. She began when she was 5 years old and now she is 8, reading and playing high level classical pieces. As a piano player myself, I've seen and gone through many different teachers, which is why I am confident to say that Fawn is definitely the best teacher of all and we are so lucky to have her!"

"Awesome teacher!

Edwin is a great teacher. He was very patient and encouraging from the start. He has a great knowledge of different styles of music and from day one i was already learning some of my favorite songs that before i could only dream of playing. He breaks down the structure of the song very well so that i can understand what im playing which made the learning stress-free. Would highly recommend to all ages and experience!"

"I'm an adult with some music background. Jordan has been great, encouraging me in my progress and helping pay attention to the details of music. He's also guiding me in teaching my kids who are 5 and 7. They have some special needs. We tried having my boys take lessons from Jordan initially, they just weren't ready for formal instruction. Too many typical crazy kid behavior. So I am doing what I can at home and Jordan has given me great input to get them ready to eventually take lessons. I'm so impressed with Jordan. He has a great, positive, fun personality and he really knows is music!!"
