I am a recent graduate and studied vocal performance and pedagogy. I love singing and figuring out the best way to teach each student as an individual. I know that everyone learns differently and I want the lesson to be as fun and efficient as possible! I have experience teaching everything, from the "broadway belt" (in a healthy way) to classical arias and art songs, to popular music!

Let's see if we're a good match!

Mackenzie is a skilled educator, musician, and vocalist with diverse experiences in vocal performance: jazz, pop, musical theatre, classical...she does it all! She is a joy to sing for, and creates a comfortable, safe environment where I feel empowered to make music. Mackenzie makes singing FUN, and is so knowledgeable in helping me reach my vocal goals. I’m so glad I found her!

Mackenzie (Mack) was an excellent teacher. I hadn't had music or voice training since middle school and she was very helpful, despite me being tone deaf. Overall, it was a great experience and now I can sing without embarrassing myself!

Saxophone playing has been a part of my life from as early as remember. My father was a jazz saxophonist and this inadvertently led me toward a similar path. I have been playing professionally since the age of 18 and play gigs every week in the set coast area. I think people automatically assume that if you play saxophone you must play jazz, but I feel that there are so many stylistic opportunities with this flexible instrument. i've managed to play on gigs of all genres with what I know and the approach I take to playing. In my lessons I like to focus on fundamentals but then on how such fundamentals can be applied to different playing situations. From the beginner to Immediate player I really try to focus on sound quality and production, finger technique, time, articulation, theory and building a ...
