Sean was a great teacher. I asked him if he knew how to teach Bollywood style Violin and even though he didn't he took the time to study it and learn just to teach me. I really appreciate that he was so open to trying so hard for his students. I think Sean is great!
Marc T.
Great first lesson. High hopes for follow lessons.

I self-taught myself guitar over 35 years ago; mostly forgotten. Sean began with establishing goals that would meet my goals. The feedback to me during the lessons was focused and delivered in a friendly manner. Progression was enhanced due to his manner and his approach to teaching. While this was the first lesson, I am looking forward to future lessons.

She is dedicated, kind, helpful, and engaging. Every lesson I have with her I feel like I am growing as a singer. I really wanted to up my karaoke game about one year about and Viviana has been amazing to help with just that! She is a wealth of knowledge, but also keeps it fun and light. She knows this is more of a hobby for me and is really balancing her lessons accordingly. She is always so upbeat and positive but also gives me feedback when I need it. We were meeting face-to-face for several months, but now are doing video lessons which are working out very well! I wasn't sure how it would go, but she has adapted to the online format seamlessly! I would highly recommend working with Viviana! :) I would give her 200 stars if I could!

"Love my classes with Hilary so far! I'm developing myself as a songwriter to launch my professional music project very soon. Half of the class is basic piano in order to be able to come up with melodies and the other half is writing lyrics/songs. Hilary is very sweet, patient and explains terms/theory in a very clear and easy way to understand. Songwriting can be a very vulnerable thing to do and Hilary creates a safe, professional space for the writing to happen. I'm excited to take more classes with her and definitely recommend her!"

Songwriting 101: Using the "Long-Line" Concept

One of the most wonderful and rewarding things about the art of songwriting is that there are many different ways to approach making your own music. Arlington,TX music teacher Ric F. previously shared with us his tips on using rhythm as a guide to writing. Today, Ric would like to add another aspect to your understanding of writing songs, something he calls the "long-line" concept. Unlike visual art where you can see it all at once, music takes “time” to reveal itself. Today I would like …
