Jason tailors the course to a student's individual learning pace and needs. There is also a good combination between theory and learning cords to play a song. Technique is emphasized to build good habits and a foundation for future growth.

I recently start to learn Violin with Jonathan and learn a lot more than what I was expected! I was a little bit disappointed because I heard it's late to start violin in my age but since I start with Jonathan, he always been helpful and encourage me.

He's very knowledgeable and perfectly patient. He has the ability to listen and understand where I am in my learning curve and adjust his lessons to my skill level which I love about him.
Not only he knows his stuff and makes his teaching personal to your needs, but he also has a way to make you feel successful even when you are struggling. I always feel better about my playing when I leave his class.
What I like about his teaching style most; he hands you a key to learning more rapidly. I think this is the best kind of teach that you can find.

For these reasons I highly recommend him and I truly appreciate his time, patient, and knowledge.

I wish one day come to I play like him; clean, easy and professional :-) !

Hi there! : )

I would LOVE to hear you sing! I consider it a true honor and gift whenever someone share's his or her voice with me. Singing can sometimes feel vulnerable. Letting someone hear you sing can be scary, but it can also be exciting, freeing and inspirational!

When you sing with me, it is my first goal to make sure that you feel safe and secure to make whatever good or bad sounds you want! (I encourage mistakes because that's how you learn. Don't worry, I'll make them with you!)

My second goal is to always maintain and improve the passion and confidence within you - and not just with singing but for your personal identity. I want you to always love yourself, love your voice, and to let your beautiful voice be heard!

My third goal is to work technique! I have a Master's in Musical Theatre, a Bachelor's in Vocal Performance and three years teaching experience, so we will work together to get the best and most comfortable sound for you!

My fourth and final goal is to ...

Leslie is an incredible voice teacher. She is an upbeat , positive , fun teacher ! She has great educational information about vocal strategies and knows just how to get the right sounds out of me! She is also incredibly encouraging and a great communicator about how I can improve. She has made a huge difference in my singing!

My little cousin received voice lessons from Leslie. We looked everywhere for a professional teacher who would work with our busy schedule. No luck, til we found Leslie. She was the perfect fit! She is extremely passionate with improving the gift of voice! In addition to her vast knowledge and professionalism, she is a joy to work with. My cousin absolutely enjoyed working with her; he’s shy and takes a while to loosen up to new people. I highly recommend Leslie for anyone who wishes to improve their gifts, and enjoy the learning experience she offers!

Music Theory is covered for all ages and levels from beginner to advanced. My suggestions for beginner kids ages 5-9

Lisa Ng series of "Theory made Easy" this book is great! it combines puzzle solving, note reading, stickers and is a fun way to introduce kids to music theory.

For the student that has had some theory experience, The "Master your Theory" series is great. by Charles S. Peters and Paul Yoder book1-6

Similarly, Alfred's Basic Piano for adults has theory combined in the piano books for those who start at a later stage.

About Francisca

Hi there, my name is Francisca! I am a very passionate and dedicated instructor. I love working with students at all levels from ages 9 and up, from beginners to experienced adults. It doesn't matter where you are in your musical development, I can help and encourage you to be your very best.

I have been taking online lessons with Francisca for 2 years. It has been great, as it fits more in tune with my work schedule.

As someone who has a little bit of a singing background, I was looking to improve my range and vocal power.

Francisca has helped me so much in helping me find my voice, connecting my chest and head voice, and giving me the confidence to sing in public once again. She is very warm and personable, and most of all accommodating. She is very well rounded with several years of experience as a performer and coach.

I highly recommend her for all your online lesson needs.

When I think about where I was when I began to where I am now, I'm amazed at the progress I've made under her instruction. Not only in my technique but also in my confidence.
I come out of my lessons feeling good about myself. And even when I get discouraged she's always there to build me up and help me believe that I can accomplish what I set my mind to.

"An Amazing Musican and Instructor

I came to Nathaniel mid-summer 2013 to begin beginner lessons after careful consideration of his skills. He is so accomplished! After adjustments to find the correct guitar (left handed) we finally got down to brass tacks and I have improved so much under his direction. Nathaniel is so patient and always has the right answer when a question is asked. Nathaniel likes putting some humor in with his instruction technique which helps to relax and enjoy the session. Anyone who is looking for a spectacular instructor, Nathaniel is your choice."

"Nathan has taught my children ages 5 and 7, and he has been utterly wonderful. Very patient with a nice dry sense of humor that my kids really enjoyed. He had the perfect balance of allowing the kids to learn at their own pace while pushing them to do more each week. It didn't take long for my older child to learn to read music on the staff and then play it, and he even encouraged her to write her own music! Meanwhile our younger child got into a groove where he always wanted to be the first to practice. Along with his reliability and ease, that all is the sign of a great teacher."
