This is the first lesson I got to listen to of my son working with Nathan. Usually I'm not home from work. I am really impressed with how much he was able to help my son improve so quickly. I wish we had started this much sooner.

Bass isn't just "easy guitar." bass was actually my first instrument until I learned guitar, so I have a very special connection with it. I work on fundamentals like strong right hand technique, left hand muting, and scales. These things make any genre of music much more enjoyable to learn and perform.

Another big part of bass playing that separates it from other instruments is that an ideal bass player has a special intuition to react to other members in subtle but insanely effective ways. I work on basics of theory and harmony to bring these out, as well as encouraging listening to all kinds of music.

About Bronsen

"As a beginning, self-taught bass player of four months, I wanted to find a teacher who could analyze and critique my playing. I scheduled five lessons with David over a time period of three months. David was instrumental in analyzing and critiquing bad techniques and habits I acquired. He very thoroughly emphasized proper fretting technique and finger positioning; exercises were given that helped me obtain full tonal quality and efficient fretboard navigation skills. We also reviewed basic theory, scale modes, rhythmic weight, pentatonics and arpeggios; seminal knowledge for the beginner.

A technical type player, David has excellent playing skills as well as a comprehensive knowledge of theory and its practical application. He is a good listener and showed a genuine interest in helping me achieve my goals. I definitely can see an improvement in my playing skills....playing more confidently and efficiently.

Highly recommended......."

"I started Bass guitar lessons from Mark about 4 years ago. He is a very talented and patient musician who really pays attention to detail. I have a busy schedule and sometimes I just can't practice as much as I would like to. to make things even harder, I play Left handed. Mark takes the time to go over things with me with out any frustration. I really had no idea what it would be like taking lessons at my age (let's just say I'm way past 50), but I truly look forward to meeting with mark for my weekly lesson. I'm making progress and one of these days I'll be able to say Yes, I can play this bass.
I would recommend any student that wanted to learn to play the Guitar or Bass guitar to Mark. you will not be disappointed."

After Just over a year being taught by Corey, my skills have advanced so drastically. It's a great experiance being taught by the BEST. I now have bands calling me to sub or wanting me to join. If you're looking to advance your chops, or maybe you're a beginner, Corey is THE ONE for you.
