About Andrew
Musically and personally, I strongly feel that diversity and openness are key in a person's development: when we move outside of our comfort zone and embrace the unknown, we are better able to grow as musicians (and human beings). As a performer, I feel that performing with musicians of different b

From the first lesson, Andrew has been a consummate professional. Each lesson he brings in something new, while making sure that everything we've covered in the past is still ingrained through repetition. Having Andrew as an instructor has opened my eyes to the many facets of drumming, and I have taken skills/techniques with me that will last forever. The feedback does not stop after each lesson, Andrew is available all the time for any questions I may have during the week if I am stumped while practicing. His schedule is flexible with mine, and he is willing to bring in music that I want to personally learn. The lessons are the right balance of fun and teaching, and his studio promotes a learning environment that is not intimidating to let loose if you're a beginner like me.
I'd recommend Andrew to anyone looking to expand their skill set, the lessons have been a great experience.

I have been playing drums for more than 10 years and have been teaching for more than 3. Throughout that time, I have played across the country in New York City and even in Japan. I am currently a Jazz Studies Major at Sacramento State University. My goal is to make every student a well-rounded drummer who knows whats going on when they are in any type of musical situation. My favorite style to play is jazz, but I am well-rounded in all other styles such as rock, Latin, blues, funk, and country.
In my lessons, I base the material on the student depending on how advanced they are. If the student is just starting out, I will teach them the basics such as holding the drumsticks properly, basic rudiments, reading rhythms, learning about the hardware, and so on.
If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask :D
About Gabriel
I started playing drums when I was in second grade and formed a band with my 2 older brothers who played bass and guitar. It was something to do when we younger but when I got into high school, I took playing drums a lot more seriously. I was in a very competitive marching band playing bass drum an

My lessons are both fun and educational, with flexibility to honor each student's needs and goals. During my time as a drummer, I have had the pleasure of studying music with Dr. Richard Ripani, Eddie Bell, and renowned big band drummer Duffy Jackson in Nashville, TN. I graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Studio Music/Jazz Performance at UT Knoxville, studying with Professor Keith Brown. I want to pass on all the knowledge I gained from them to you! Murray does a great job of encouraging the student while he is teaching. He takes the time needed to explain the very basics before moving onto the more difficult concepts. He played for me and my family after my lesson was over! We really enjoyed it! He knows what he's doing and he has the instrument knowledge to back it up!"

Andrew was very understandingvfor the type of lesson I am looking for.
We will see what happens during the rest of my 5 lesson series.
I liked Andrew right off the bat seems like a nice person also.
I am 71 years old I know when I meet someone after a few minutes what kind of person they are and he is one of those type."
