Why TakeLessons?
Hear From TakeLessons Students
Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Iâve been taking lessons with John now for close to 4 months. Prior to Take Lessons I tried to teach myself to play (no luck) and had tried one on one lessons through Groupon, which were also not helpful or successful.
Right from the start, I enjoyed my lessons with John very much. He is enthusiastic, has a very positive, encouraging vibe, and has been more than willing to work with me at my skill level (basic guitar). I especially liked that he asked me to provide him with some music that reflected the style of guitar I wanted to learn to play. Once we laid some basic groundwork, we started off learning to play a song on the list I gave him. He is very talented at transcribing music by ear was able to guide me though the song without sheet music.
Finally, my schedule has been variable over the last few months, but he has been nothing but flexible and gracious in finding time for our lesson when I canât make our regular scheduled time. I very much appreciate that about him.
Overall, I would recommend John for lesson without hesitation. Heâs a talented musician and a gifted instructor."
