Cory was kind and outstandingly patient with my 5-year-old son. I love the way he used repetition, provided memory tricks, and encouraged frequent participation to really sink home the lessons. In tandem with beatboxing techniques, Cory also introduced my little guy to percussion instruments and reviewed letters of the alphabet. My son really enjoyed himself, and has been playing with his new beatbox skills all day. A truly first class lesson experience - we can't wait for the next one!

Paul is a very gifted musician and a great teacher. He is passionate about music, and very patient with students. My son loves his trambone lessons. I highly recommend Paul.

I could tell Paul definitely knew all the tiny details about mastering the trombone since the first lesson. He recognized what I needed to improve upon in order to reach my goals in a timely manner, armed me with the tools to do so, and I have no doubt that I will achieve those goals as the lessons progress.

"My middle-school aged son did a two hour session with Dr. Darrell one day where I would venture to say they covered a month's worth of music theory material. After a while I got tired listening to it, but my son didn't. Darrell is patient yet firm, tough but caring. The pairing of Darrell's deep knowledge with a student who wants to learn is a powerful combination. He is committed to the success of his students."

Do you listen to a recording, memorizing the melody and the stylistic aspects before you begin, and then as you play? Or would you sit down and sight read the notes, and perfect it from that star …
