Ukulele Lessons in Keedysville, MD

I learned from some great musicians out west that the ukulele can be really fun and have more range of notes too when tuned GDAE as a violin would be tuned. Ever since I learned that I have loved playing the ukulele and also have fun helping others to become well versed in playing many styles of music on there. One can play rhythm, melodies, improvise, write songs, play almost any style of music on a ukulele.

I have taught guitar for many years and have also given some ukelele lessons, I would be happy to work with you on learning to play!

Ukulele is just like a better guitar... I can help you learn whatever song you want- or even make your own! I have an extra ukulele for you to learn on as well.

Joel is an accomplished performer, composer, songwriter, and educator who draws from several pedagogical techniques to create a curriculum that is fun, active, inquiry-based, and student-driven. He is a professionally licensed K-12 music teacher in the state of Colorado with a master's degree in music education who has taught in public schools and privately for 5 years. Work collaboratively to set goals, pick repertoire, and build a strong musical foundation. Come prepared to sing, improvise, analyze, and play.

You will learn the basics of the ukulele and all the common chords for starters. Ukulele is a fun portable instrument that can easily play many popular songs.

While teaching Ukulele I focus on chords and stum patterns. This is usually done while learning songs
