I took painting lessons about 10 years ago and haven’t done anything since. I brought a 1/2 finished painting. Maggie was great helping me set up and seeing where I was and what I remembered. Then showed me some techniques to help get me going. I’m looking forward to our next lesson.

Maggie is a talented instructor. Helped me tremendously with oil paint color mixing and matching.

Maggie is an exceptional teacher who has her classroom management skills down to a tee. It’s amazing to watch her command a classroom full of children while remaining sweet and never losing her cool. She was a great mentor and I learned a lot about art education from her!

Jonathan is without a doubt a talented professional photographer / artist. Yet he has adapted himself to working with a novice trying to navigate a new digital camera before a big Patagonia vacation of a lifetime. Whether you are a beginner like I am or a professional photographer looking to improve your game, Jonathan will exceed your expectations. I like his patient and calm approach to my questions and after only two lessons I have already improved so much.

I have learned a lot from Jonathan so far. He has been very helpful in helping me understand PhotoShop and Lightroom. I would highly recommend him.

He really is a very cool man, lately he has helped me to promote my kickstarter campaign, and he has really helped me to get sponsors, I want to thank him for everything he is doing for me.

First of all, Raymond was great. The drop-down for class type did not offer "Creative Writing" which is the class I took. I was very lucky to be Raymond's only student, so I learned so much and left with anticipation of my potential to be a writer. He gave great examples and offered time to practice. The class was 5 Hours! The time fly by for me as a student. I am a beginner so his patience was very much appreciated. After the class, I felt really inspired and have been practicing every day writing something for 20 minutes. I would definitely take another class from Raymond.

Although my focus as a TakeLessons teacher is primarily in music, I also teach a killer Calligraphy class. I do not take the fact that I am 'multi-talented' lightly. I know good calligraphy and I know mediocre calligraphy. Before getting more involved with music, I taught Calligraphy at a junior college for 7 years. I taught over 750 students and took classes from a student of Donald Jackson, one of the Scribes of the Queen of England. I can strengthen the work and techniques of intermediate or advanced calligraphers (and illuminators) and am very adept at teaching beginners. We can meet in my music studio or your home. I have a list of preferred materials and love this amazing communication form.

Marty helped me to prepare to sing at my wedding and although that didn't ultimately happen because I was so busy with all the wedding details I did not have time to practice, the experience was magficent and I've taken what I learn with her an facilated into many avenues of my life including speaking, as she taught me how to better project and be more confident in doing so.
She takes a very personal approach with her students to help them truly recognize there goals.

Marty is a wonderful teacher and very easy to understand. I tried many online packages and other teachers and I could not keep up with their instruction. Marty is clear and has figured out ways to make It possible for me to play much faster than I ever thought I could. I will be returning from a trip east and will continue my lessons when I return. I am very happy that I found Marty.

It's such a joy to take classes with Margarita. As a children's librarian by profession I'm impressed with how well she teaches and inspires children, always a lot of smiles in her classes. As an adult returning to art I'm learning so much about the core fundamentals that are taking my art to the next level. Margarita is an expert teacher, kind, considerate, and dedicated to helping her students achieve and develop their potential and talent. I highly recommend her, and her classes.
Jovanka V.
My son is a beginner in drawing and is a bit apprehensive about his drawing skills. I really appreciated and liked Margarita's approach, setting music to create a relaxing atmosphere for drawing, explaining the steps, and the foundation for sketching. I think we approached drawing wrongly and after the lesson I changed our way. We play music now (which he likes) and he is drawing more often and is more relaxed.

My daughter attends Ms Maggie's art exploration program. Ms Maggie is very patient with children and brings out the best in her students. My daughter has learnt a lot of techniques in art under her guidance and looks forward to art class every week. I'm so happy and grateful that my daughter has a wonderful art teacher. "Great teacher and a wonderful experience. My daughter loves to go to class and have lots of fun while learning new techniques.
Kids are actually exposed to various mediums. The really good part is you can also see older kids working on really good pieces of art, which is a very motivating for the younger ones. Personally Ms Maggie is very kind and gentle and a pleasure to know. I recommend any parent looking to enroll their kids into an art program to take them to her class and you WON'T regret it!"
