I've used calculus in my career for 35 years, as a mechanical engineer and a computational physicist. I know how to solve problems from several different perspectives, so if a student is struggling with one method, I have a repertoire of other techniques to deploy. I find that students thrive when they are given solid examples of solutions and the content isn't hidden from them. I can help expand a student's advantage with computational tools such as Excel and Matlab to accelerate knowledge and deeper understanding.

About Thomas

I am a computational physicist and a business strategist with the navy, and an adjunct professor at NVCC in engineering and computer science. I've worked with some brilliant young scientists and engineers from all over the world and I'm a continuous learner. I have a Doctor of Science Degree in F

With about 13 years of experience as a Mathematics Teacher, one of my passions in life is the opportunity to share knowledge constantly, as well as, to help individuals eager to improve even when some details appear to be insignificant.
At the age of 19, I formally started working with students of all ages, as a professor of Basic Mathetics, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, etc at the Stephen W. Hawking Institute in Ecuador, my home country. We all should be determined to find an objective/career that would be our passion and reflects our life goal as well. This perspective encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone to move to USA thanks to an Ecuadorian scholarship which financed the commencement of my journey in Environmental Eng. focusing on Nanotechnology at Vincennes Univ. IN. There, I had a training at different Departments as a STEM, English and Spanish tutor; which eventually, gave me the chance to learn about the teaching-learning process of Higher Level ...

About Elizabeth

I am a Science teacher besides my experience as an English and Spanish tutor, about 13 years of experience in this field. I graduated from Vincennes University with an Associate Degree in Environmental and Ecological Engineering. Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor Degree in Environmental Enginee

Elizabeth is an excellent conversational Spanish tutor for my 11 and 10 year old children. She is patient and fluent in Spanish and English. We are happy about the curriculum she created for the kids as well. We are so pleased with our kids progress, that we signed up for two lessons per week.

I know that I can teach this difficult subject in the simplest ways. Everyone I have helped told me they were surprised at how easy it is once I explain it to them. I love that I am able to teach a subject that seems difficult to most in an easy way. I give all the students notes from our sessions, One of their teachers said that the notes helped them understand the math better as well! I can pinpoint right away where, why and how they arrived at a different solution (and I can explain all of it in a way they understand it easily). I can make up a math test to see exactly where their strengths and weaknesses are. I have studied this subject for a long time and can help anyone who needs it.

About Jean

I understand the material completely and am able to easily teach the different subjects of math. I am going to school to get my civil engineering Bachelor's degree with a math minor. I have helped students with math and other subjects since I was a Junior in high school. I've tutored students and f

I have dealt with calculus for years and can help you master it as well! Calculus is very much a language and learning to speak it is not so daunting with the right teacher. I am that person.

I have dealt with calculus from high school to the present. I took AP calculus BC and scored a 5 on the AP test. I've also taken calculus III and Differential Equations and TAed the latter in college. I have worked with multiple students in preparing for calculus exams (AP and collegiate) and worked with the material continuously as a physics major. You want someone who has worked in (and TAed) the subject to help you master it!

I work with students through material, practice problems, test/quiz prep, teach supplemental lectures from unclear lectures in class, and write practice materials for my students! Let me help you master this topic to meet your goals.

Shoot me a message to tell me your goals and I'll help you meet them!

About Alex

Teaching is what I do! I have TAed multiple classes and taught dozens of students. I teach piano and other music concepts, as well as STEM fields in school. I only teach concepts that I'm completely fluent in, however, so you always get the absolute best instruction possible! I have been playing

My goal is simple. Break down complex calculus concepts into easily understood steps that you understand. I have completed Calculus I/II/III and Deferential Equations and applied the math concepts to solve real-world engineering problems so I know Calculus well. My Masters level coursework has trained me to approach complex problems in a clear-cut methodical way. Experience gained over 7 years teaching and tutoring 1:1 has shown me how to explain problems and strategies in a way that make sense to you. I know math can be difficult, and I want to help you increase your skills, build confidence, and extend your knowledge to bring out your best. Struggling with homework, or receive a disappointing test grade? Let’s work together to simplify Calculus and help you succeed!

"Daniel has tutored me through 2 years of college math including, calculus 2, calculus 3, linear algebra, and differential equations. He helped me on a weekly basis with homework assignments and preparing for tests. The way he taught cleared up all of my questions from lecture and changed my approach to math for the better. Thanks to Daniel's methods and thorough explanations, I earned A's in all my classes. If you seek a solid understanding of math and a professional tutor, I highly recommend Daniel."

"Colin helped me through the last semester of IB Calculus. He would email me two days before each lesson so he was prepared with a relative lesson plan for our hour long weekly session of review. He even created a video explaining a topic I was stuck on and sent it to me after our weekly session. I wouldn’t have gotten an A in the last semester without him. Thanks Colin."

How to Score a 5 on the AP Calculus Test

Getting ready to take the AP Calculus test? Brush up on these study tips from Olympia, WA tutor Tali H...   The AP Calculus exam is rumored to be one of the harder AP tests - especially for those of us who math doesn't come easily to. The test takes three hours and 15 minutes, and has 45 multiple-choice questions and six short-answer questions. Both types have a non-calculator part and a calculator part. Even though it sounds daunting, with some determination and productive studying, …
