I took away a whole array of new strategies and techniques to help preserve my voice and to increase my range. What a surprise- I had no idea I could sing so high!! Kathleen is a wonderful teacher and a really super lady. I'll be back for more lessons in the fall.

My daughter is really enjoying her voice lessons. Kathleen is a talented, caring teacher and knows how to make the process effective and fun for my daughter. My daughter loves being able to choose the songs she wants to learn, and this collaborative process keeps her quite interested and inspired.

Excellent Voice Teacher

Mrs. B is a wonderful and dedicated teacher who focuses diligently during class sessions. She thoroughly explains terms and technique and is friendly and sociable. Her extensive knowledge of languages comes extremely useful in Italian arias and other folk songs as to explain the meanings of words and to convey motion. Her classes are enjoyable and fun, while still being comprehensively academic.

I really enjoyed my voice session with Norwood and I learned a lot! He is very passionate about helping his clients to work on their breathing and I could tell how much he cares about his clients because he was rooting me on and encouraging me with every new exercise. Since our virtual meeting, I have been practicing the exercises and they have given me confidence and helped me to improve my breathing and speaking ability.

I highly recommend meeting with Norwood. His enthusiasm for his craft is highly contagious. Even if it is just a 30 minute session, he will provide you with exercises and the confidence to improve your voice to the point where you are more concerned with the words you are speaking rather than worrying about how you sound to other people!

With English as my second language, it has been very challenging for me to sing in English. I’ve been taking lessons from Norwood for about 6 months and have seen tremendous improvement in my vocal skills and range. He has instilled confidence in my vocals and in my speaking abilities as well.

Norwood is a very patient teacher who has created an encouraging and comfortable atmosphere for learning and expanding my vocal skills. He has an amazing talent for cultivating strengths and improving weaker points. I believe I have benefited incredibly from his lessons and through his unique warm-ups, SOVT, trilling, breathing, pronunciation, and phonetic exercises. I highly recommend Norwood.
Laura
Norwood is extremely humble and easy to work with. He never made me feel like I wasn’t good enough but always made me feel like I could reach a higher level of excellence for my unique range. He embraces each voice as its own and meets the student where they are at. He is extremely knowledgeable on how sounds are created, how space is made in the voice, and he is able to communicate that knowledge effectively to the student. In short, I loved having Norwood as a teacher.

Zach was of great help to me during a production of Beauty and the Beast. While I have had lots of experience on stage, my part of Belle’s father Was the first that required me to sing as part of a Duet. I struggled to ‘find my voice’ until tech week (getting nervous) was under way. With Zach’s help I managed to turn in not only a competent performance but one which I received praise for! (Not just from my family)
I think Zach provided exactly what I needed to pull it off!

Zach has spent decades honing his craft with continuous, disciplined practice, many kinds of performing and constantly pushing outside his comfort zone. His critique has always been kind and constructive and he has always encouraged me to try new songs, perform in new venues and push myself to be my best

I highly recommend utilizing Mr. Schwartz for improving your singing skills and desires. A fabulous teacher!!!!!

This class is for teen-adult beginning/intermediate acting. I pioneered 2 private Arts Academies in drama and film for 6 years, and am now teaching acting and directing full time with private lessons and gigs. My goal is to help students become well-rounded in all the areas that are needed to truly become a working actor. These areas include: auditioning, theater, film, and improvisation.

Being a repertory performer for Silver Star Playhouse (musical theater parodies), and having lots of experience and training in improv and interactive dinner theaters really trains you in comedy.
My husband also owns Soundwaves Productions (technological advanced studio in Gilbert)- so completing remote voiceover work for a reel is not out of the question.

I also encourage students to pair in duos for effective scene work and more in-depth technique training (this will also split your lesson cost in half).

About Rebecca

Greetings! I am super excited to be building a private and small group lesson platform at our home studio and to meet your personal acting and performing needs! I recently stepped down from 2 years of full-time drama and visual art at Lumos Arts Academy- a private school I played a role in pione

"David has really helped my auditions. I have booked two jobs since coaching with him. He takes me back to the basics, forces me to let go of my ego, and doesn't allow me to use any of my actor "tricks." Consequently my auditions are resonating in a new and effective way. As of right now, he is absolutely essential when I have an appointment. I emphatically recommend him for coaching."
