Join me to achieve:
• a solid technical and musical foundation for beginners
• improved technique and increased musical expressiveness for intermediate & advanced players
• support developing strong rhythm and sight-reading skills
• a sense of community with other students and parents during this time of isolation
• confidence and joy in performing
I use a combination of Suzuki approaches, improvisation, Dalcroze-inspired eurythmics, and somatic movement awareness (inspired by Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique) to simultaneously develop fluent musicality, joy in making music, a solid instrumental technique, and musicianship (including reading and theory). I started playing violin with the Suzuki method at age 5. I have been teaching violin to ages 4 to adult for over 8 years. While not a concert or symphony level player, I have been providing quality lessons and guidance to beginners and intermediate players of all ages and interest for years. As with all of my lessons, I provide a core curriculum as well as custom tailor to the student's needs and interest. From Bach and other Suzuki classics, to modern favorites like Pirates of the Caribbean or Lindsey Stirling.
