The student can expect to first be evaluated on their current skill level, stance, grip, and other mechanics. After which we will discuss their goals with training and then I will formulate a personalized lesson plan to suit their needs. Depending on the availability of practice time of the student it is advised that the student take a lesson and have at least two weeks of practice time to give them enough time to develop the muscle memory with the techniques learned.

Michael is a stickler for doing things right, but in a nice way. I feel that his mode of teaching is best, because it builds a solid foundation for further learning.

After a brief intro, Mike explained where're going with his lessons. I was having some problems getting my fingers near certain fret areas he wanted me to work on, so he very kindly placed some colors tape where I'm to put my fingers. That helped a lot. Been practicing an hour per day, & I'm getting a bit better daily. I've got a long way to go, but with Mike's help I'll get there. ELLIOT

"Great teacher!

Matt is honest. If there is something he doesn't like about your chess game, he will definitely come out and say it. His criticism allows you to focus on that part of your game. You will be able to improve your flaws on and off the chess board.

Matt is also very competitive. If you beat him in a game of chess, it's like you've beaten him in a game of life. The day you've accomplished this, you will know the grasshopper has become the master.

If you're new at taking lessons, you need to start here, with Matt. I would highly recommend him to any chess player who is seeking to improve their game, beginner or advanced."

"Dipankar has been an absolute wonder for my chess improvement; after only one lesson! He has a real talent for finding one's weaknesses in their play simply by quickly analyzing their games which is a huge asset. Secondly, he also takes time to not only give you areas to work on, but also the means and resources to do so. Dipankar was constantly giving me advice as weeks went by and has been coaching me regardless of wether or not I am in a lesson! He is a natural teacher and a stellar guy. I recommend him for anyone looking to improve their chess."
