What are your singing goals? From singing in the shower and feeling like a rock star or for a role in a regional show, as a gigging musician or preparing for professional auditions, my students and I work closely together to get progressively closer to your goals. I have a 15+ year professional performance career as a singer in Musical Theater, Rock/Pop and Jazz and received my degree in Vocal Performance from NYU. Teaching informs my performing and performing informs my teaching. I am a voice nerd and love to continually educate myself on latest vocal research and methodologies. I believe in a hybrid approach of technical and scientific with freeing yourself up to your own self expression and your unique artistry. Since I started working with students of all ages (seriously my youngest student is 2 and my oldest is currently 66) I can not imagine ever stopping. Working with students of all levels and ages is always unique, and fun. I can't wait to get started with you!

As an experienced teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance, I want to give you the tools to sing well for a lifetime! My background includes years of teaching and performing opera, musical theater, and worship music. I am also experienced in piano, theater, and ballet. With every lesson, we will work towards healthier, more beautiful singing as you achieve your vocal goals. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. I can’t wait to work with you!

There are so many colors to the human voice. Unlike most instruments, the human body does not show us what note we are playing or how the air is inhaled in to our stomach. So we end up feeling our way through, using our imagination. This is where the magic happens. In class and outside of it, muscle memory takes its natural course and we begin creating a unique and practical "navigation map" of your voice.
Whether you feel like letting out some steam, working on those high notes or designing your own sound; I am excited to meet you! I have studied (and still studying - learning is endless...) many different techniques and am very committed to sharing what I know with patience and passion.

My lesson plans cater to the interests and needs of each individual student. I have a curriculum that emphasizes proper breathing and vocal techniques, as well as mindful body awareness. I teach in multiple genres of voice, and aim to instill good vocal technique for healthy singing in any genre! My curriculum also includes ear training and sight-reading skills, as I believe that reading sheet music is beneficial. For interested students, I also teach performance and audition skills.

*Provide opportunities for student to sing in the community.
*Allow students to learn more about music theory with games about pitches, rhythms, notes on the staff and piano that are engaging and fun.
*The vocal exercises appear to be crazy fun, that the students love to practice the warm-ups all the time.
