I've taken guitar lessons from a few teachers and Dan is the best fit I've ever had. He is very patient and does a fantastic job of tailoring lessons to individual needs. He clearly loves to play music and is very thoughtful about how he shares this knowledge in his lessons. He never fails to encourage me as a guitar player and reinforces a 'can do' attitude. His positive and calm demeanor also make for a fantastic instructor. Thank you, Dan.

Learning to play your instrument at the highest level will make it easier for anyone to play any kind of music they may like. Don't waste time learning to play tunes on sax, but spend time learning to play sax on any tunes. Seems like a smarter way to go to me. I'm all about learning to play as fast and efficiently as possible. However practice and playing time is a must.

Takes the same amount of time to learn to play sax now as it did 175 years ago!

About Kevin

35 yrs of teaching sax and clarinet students Many of my students have participated in Honor Band and All State Band events year after year. I am very comfortable with total beginners, advancing players, and aspiring pros. I currently have students from 9 to 80+ I tailor student lessons to the need

David is a knowledgeable, prepared, timely and tech-savvy instructor. He uses a split screen on the video calls so that you can see his hand placement while conversing with him at the same time. I found this most helpful as a "true beginner" because I frequently needed to refer to his hand placement.

I was also fortunate that the time for our classes worked well for me, even though I am learning from overseas.

I look forward to continued lessons.
Kevin
Personable, patient, good explanations of what he asked me to do. Readily picked up when I wasn't getting it and explained another way until I did. I am an adult learner with Parkinson's and his teaching style meshed with my limitations perfectly. I took to internet learning easily so it was a "win" for me.
Jennifer
I have played woodwinds for years, and plucked away at piano a little here and there. So, my education is pretty much a mishmosh. David was excellent at meeting me where I am in my education and planning out how to close the gaps in what I know as I progress forward. I've only had one lesson and learned quite a lot! Very much looking forward to continuing with David.

"Kristin is a wonderful piano teacher! She is skilled and experienced, as well as very enthusiastic. My 7 year old son started with her and absolutely loved his lessons, and more importantly grew a love to play the piano. In addition she taught me to play again, not playing for about 30 years! Amy is reliable, flexible, makes the lessons both fun and instructive and can tailor to your preferred kind of music. I would highly recommend her!"

"I have been looking for a high quality guitar teacher for a while and I found it in Phil Circle. He is a professional musician and makes a living at it, so you know he is good.

He understood the skill level I was coming from and what I needed to improve. Phil gave me some exercises and scales the first meeting, and I learned more from those exercises than I did in my previous lessons with two other guitar teachers.

Phil is the real deal, he knows how to teach, and he will make you a better musician!"

"Excellent teaching skills

Mr. Farobag knows how to teach! If you put in the dedication and motivation, you will get results! He teaches in a way that acknowledges your skill-level, and he remembers(In spite of all the students he has.) what you were working on with him or your previous lesson! He ultimately teaches piano in a way that will help you steadily progress as long as you put in the effort on your part, just all around an amazing teacher."

Learning to Read Music: An Introduction for Singers

Learning to read music can be a daunting task for beginner singers! Here, Ann Arbor, MI voice teacher Elaina R. shows you how to get started...   Not to point out the obvious, but as singers, we don’t have keys on our instrument. We don’t have buttons that emit the same pitch every time they are pressed. Most of us don’t have perfect pitch, either. This makes learning to read music quite different for singers than for other musicians. Not only do singers deal with learning h …
