Soprano Ellie Yeonjung K., completed her Master's of Music degree at the Manhattan School of Music in New York studying under Joan Patenaude-Yarnell. Ellie's operatic appearances include Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro with the Dell'arte Opera Emsemble and Lucy in Menotti's TheTelephone at the Korea National Theater.

She was recognized with "great critical acclaim" by Opera News online for the role of Rita in Donizetti's Rita with the Martina Arroyo Foundation.
Other repertoire include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Sophie in Massenet's Werther, and Laetitia in Menotti's The Old Maid and the Thief. Ms. K. was also featured in several opera gala concert performances at the KBS Hall in Seoul, Korea as a member of the Kim Ja-Kyung opera company.

I'm an actively performing opera singer who graduated with a Masters in Vocal Performance from The Juilliard School and received his Bachelors in Voice from The University of Kentucky. Currently I am a Young Artist with the Washington National Opera Company at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. performing roles and concerts in their season!

I have been surrounded by incredible teachers who instilled a passion for teaching in me and I am so eager to share all I have learned, and am still learning, with you!

I focus on the basics of healthy singing and strive to maximize the beauty, control and longevity of the voice no matter what the style. And as an active performer I have a lot to offer along the lines of expression, style and even language.

With 6 six years of teaching experience, I offer lessons to people of all ages! My training is based in classical singing technique, which can be healthily applied to various singing styles. Lessons will be catered to the students goals and needs.

Whether you are the parent of a young child who is interested in learning the basics of healthy singing, a middle school or high school student who wants to begin classical voice training, music theory and note reading, or an adult who wants to explore a passion for music, I’d love to hear from you!

Whether you are a beginner wanting to know the basics of healthy vocal production, an experienced singer looking for audition preparation, or somewhere in between, I can help you reach your fullest potential! I have had training in classical, musical theatre, jazz, and pop styles, and received my undergraduate degree in vocal performance and music education. In other words, I studied how to sing, and how to help others do the same! I have also applied this education for the past three years as a professional musician and private voice teacher. I focus on helping you understand singing on an anatomical level, as well as learning the nuances of different genres of music. I can't wait to work with you!

Classical singing is my passion and I have recently received my Master’s degree in classical vocal performance at the Mannes School of Music. Equally at home in a versatile range of musical styles and repertoire from Baroque to 21st Century, I have acquired many different tools for teaching through my studies and performance experience.

Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Repertoire that I teach includes art song, opera, and operetta in English, Italian, French, German, and Russian with a focus on building a solid and healthy vocal technique. My experience in dance, Alexander Technique, and acting informs my teaching approach. I include body awareness, character interpretation, and making the music come alive as an integral part of the lessons.

I love to teach and enjoy helping others discover their voices and achieve their personal singing goals. My voice teachers have greatly impacted my life and my goal is to inspire my students in a similar way. Everyone has a unique
