As a bass opera singer and professional voice over artist, I am dedicated to creating a healthy and beautiful sound with my own voice and the voices of my students. I will not come into our lessons saying there is a single way to sing. In fact, many genres require a great deal of varying vocal techniques and stylized voices. What I will do is help to lay a foundation in healthy singing so that you feel comfortable singing any genre. We will start by ensuring that your breath and vowel placement feels comfortable and from there move into repertoire of your choosing or some that I recommend based upon your interests. You will leave your tenure with me empowered to continue your passion and career for singing long after your lessons end. Music is meant to be shared. Together, we will help you to share the music and passion that you hold so dear.

Private Singing Teacher

I've been teaching chorus and doing private voice lessons for almost 10 years. For the past years, my students in private singing lessons have gained a basic understanding of vocal anatomy and become more skilled in correct breathing technique, moving between vocal registers and producing balanced tone. I usually select an age appropriate song for my students to learn for each session, and each skill the students learned during the lessons will be applied to the singing of that song.

Dan has been an amazing help through my vocal journey. He's been working with me for 2 months now and he's taught me how to gain better control of my voice and be more thoughtful of my placement and breath support. His session have been a good mix of fun and supportive but also challenging. He continues to be a great vocal trainer to work with.

I have been fortunate enough to take lessons with Dan for over a year now. Taking lessons with him has been an absolute game changer. He is very focused during class and is incredibly patient. He takes notes during each class so he knows exactly what songs I'm working on, which parts of my range need work, how my range has changed, etc. I highly recommend his vocal coaching.

Javi is the perfect teacher for both rookie and veteran performers! He is patient, extremely detailed in his feedback, and can make many improvements in such a small amount of time. I particularly appreciate his strong classical background as a solid foundation for learning other styles. Even ONE lesson with Javi provides the student with extraordinary technical training. Thanks Javi!

Javier has been such an amazing teacher. Before taking classes, I was completely tone deaf but really wanted to learn to sing and hit notes correctly. At first it was a struggle for me, but Javier was very patient with me, encouraging, and knew exactly how to change what I was doing wrong to get the pitch I needed correctly. He has background in opera and Broadway from what we’ve talked about. He’s very nice but is disciplined which is a great balance. I def recommend Javier, he really cares and wants you to succeed in your goals and really has helped me create the beautiful voice I wanted to get. Thank you Javier!!

"When I first went to Randy, I wanted to learn how to sing better. Somehow, he saw that just learning how to sing wouldn't satisfy me, so he started teaching me music theory as well. As I, at the time, was in this bubble of singing and making music with my voice, I had had no interest in music theory and left his studio after two months. A few months later, I finally realized that I did, in fact, want to learn music theory, and so I went back to his studio. Learning about music with Randy has been one of the best experiences of my life- I'm now able to (slowly!) write songs of my own, distinguish different chord types, and I finally understand what the circle of fifths was that everybody talked about in my school choir. Without him, I never would have gotten to where I am now with music, and never developed a greater love and appreciation for it, and I thank him for that."
