I've been teaching String Instruments like Guitar and Violin for Beginners and Intermediate level for many years.
In Teaching Violin for my beginner students, we usually review the basics of how to play the violin including how to hold the violin, violin tuning, violin fingering , violin bowing and violin care. My students also do warm-up to strengthen and improve their violin playing with violin scales, violin etudes, and violin exercises.
For my Intermediate violin students, we refresh our memory of the fundamentals of music theory such as how to read violin music, rhythm and key signatures.

Hey there explorer!
So you thought the violin is only meant to play Classical music? Think again!
With over 13 years of experience in improvisation in many different musical styles on the violin, I will show you the methods to explore and teach yourself any type of musical style you'd wish to play!
Although being mainly a Jazz violinist, I have performed and recorded in many different musical genres and improvisation styles including Blues, Trad Jazz, Rock, Indian Classical music, Bluegrass, Jewish Klezmer music and more. Since students spend most of their crucial development time individually in the practice room, as a teacher my biggest ambition is to teach my students 'how to be your own teacher' (I know it's kinda shooting myself in the foot :] ). Based on my 20 years experience playing the violin and other instruments, my training in Alexander technique, teaching artistry, psychology, philosophy and meditation, I've accumulated a set of methods and ideas about how to ...

With a focus on Biomechanics, sound production, and fundamental technique-I have found that my teaching style lends itself well to remote learning. Since march of 2020, I have been able to retain 90% of my studio from “the old world” - and due to this success I am now offering my services on this platform.
I am a firm believer that music lessons can, and should be “fun”.... its called playing an instrument for a reason. Within this lighthearted philosophy I certainly serve focused and intense lessons-however the goal is always to be having a good time while doing so.
The only requirements for studying with me, are that you are willing to practice your instrument away from our lessons, that you respond to my weekly check-in email (that is crafted for each student individually, memes included free), and that you never cancel a session within 24 hours unless its a true emergency. I am a very practical teacher, and will work with your life as fluidly as I approach the violin.

Proper posture is essential for good violin playing. Standing or sitting up straight not only improves tone production and control, but it also prevents injury and discomfort. Many violin players, however, struggle with their posture, which can lead to poor technique and cause both short and long term injuries. Not to mention you'll end up looking like Quasimodo. Poor posture can be a result of many things, such as sitting or standing without interruption for long periods of time, lack …
