I had a great first lesson with Jessica. The lesson took place in a comfortable studio in her house. We discussed my goals and then reviewed where I am currently. She paid carefully attention to my body position with the bow and had several great suggestions on exercises to improve it. I'm already looking forward to the next lesson.

Jessica is very nice!

I really enjoy taking piano lessons with Jessica. It had been 40 years since I took lessons (as a teenager). Jessica's manner as well as her knowledge and love of music is just what I was hoping to find in a teacher. Her ability to explain musical concepts and her thoughtful approach to teaching has far surpassed my expectations. She gives great constructive feedback and ensures that you understand what she is saying. She is very positive and patient. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons with her and recommend her strongly.

Every student has their own way of learning, and I will find that way! The beginner is brought through the traditional, classic method. But then I branch into modern styles, helping the student to find an original voice and perform music that resonates with today's listening audience. Together, we will explore American music that brings the intermediate and advanced student to understand blues and jazz improvisation, as well as composition.

About Paul

Motivation to practice is the key. Working with the parents, I like to make the lesson fun for the student, while getting the student to work hard and to keep them focused on success. Both current and former students and their parents are eager to provide references. I've taught all ages; in mu

I am a new student -- and have never learned to play an instrument. I was encouraged by medical providers to learn an instrument as part of certain of my cognitive therapies. My instrument (the mandolin) was a gift from my son.
I have been fortunate to work with Sean O. G. Burns over the past few months. His style is perfect for my needs. He is patient, and leads with a gentle push -- no pressure! Sean is incredibly talented in his own right musically, and has talents - I'm sure, well beyond my needs -- I see him as an excellent teacher for all ages!

Sean is the music theory graduate assistant at the University of Redlands and is extremely knowledgeable about the subject. He is also a great composer and plays multiple instruments. I would highly recommend him as a music teacher or tutor.

"I am a fellow musician and piano teacher. I've known Tamari for well over a decade, and know her to be a dedicated teacher of piano. I've heard her sing at performances hosted by The Schubert Club of Fairfield County here in Connecticut, and she is quite skilled. I haven't seen Tamari in a formal piano performance, but we've sight-read piano music together at home, and she is very capable. Tamari's greatest strength is her warm and caring personality, which is essential for relating to students. Put that together with her excellent musical training, and you have a dynamite teacher."

"Andy has been teaching my son piano for the last two years. My son always looks forward to going to piano with Andy and he has made so much progress. Andy is very communicative about my son's progress and ideas he has for new goals. Andy is very good at helping my son keep his enthusiasm for piano. He is also sensitive about where my son is at in terms of what he needs to strengthen or if any adjustments need to be made. I highly recommend Andy, not only as a music teacher, but as a person with whom you would want yourself or children to spend time with each week."

"I had an instructor prior to him for nearly a year. I hired JR because after that time I didn’t even learn how to read music. I learned more today from JR than the entire time I had my previous instructor. JR is detailed and patient for an old, inexperienced fart like me. Thank you, JR!"

"Ms. Alice is one of the most memorable piano teachers I've taken lessons with. I would always look forward to piano lessons because she would make them fun yet still be able to move forward in songs and techniques. Whenever Ms. Alice plays a section of a song for demonstration, I could feel the emotion behind her playing and I think that plays a role in her being an excellent piano teacher.
I enjoyed my lessons with Ms. Alice very much and I strongly believe that anyone who takes lessons with her will enjoy them as well."
