I have been taking lessons with Sammy for a month now. I am very green when it comes to singing and I am extremely self-conscious about my voice and had never really sung in front of anyone before. Sammy provided me with exactly what I was looking for, direct feedback. At the first lesson, he had me perform a vocal warm-up so that he could evaluate my instrument. We then discussed genres I like, and what goals I was trying to achieve. He then asked me to chose a song to sing and sing it. He identified things off the bat that I had not thought about and gave me exercises to help work on what we discussed. Week to week we built off of what we identified the previous week and I am seeing progress. He is good about explaining things if I don't understand the concept and he provides examples of what he is talking about. It's been a great experience and I highly recommend Sammy as an instructor.

Very happy to have Sammy instructing my 10yo daughter in singing. Sammy has a good rapport with children but still keeps the singing class moving at a challenging pace
He is very organized and punctual as well!

Jason’s tenor voice has been heard on countless advertising campaigns and video games.

He was a founding member of the collegiate a cappella group, The University of Rochester Midnight Ramblers, and for several years, sang with Manhattan-based contemporary a cappella groups Invisible Men and Dobsonfly (heard in the film “The Rules of Attraction”).

A musician in his own right, he has studied percussion, piano, musicology, theory and composition, and maintains a collection of unusual instruments from his travels abroad.

About Jason

My teaching approach: I'll help you figure out your musical goals, and customize a lesson plan to get you there (ex: performance technique, music theory, music business coaching, musicology, exploring new musical genres, song selection and interpretation).

Jason vocally coached me during many studio sessions over the years. Not only is he an excellent musician in diverse genres, but he is patient, attentive, and communicates clearly. He knows how to give the right amount of support to help vocalists find their very best sound and style for a particular genre. I would recommend Jason for any singer looking to generally improve their voice, prepare for an audition, recording, or performance.

What can I say about Kalyse because there are not enough words to do so, however I will try and sum it up. Kalyse is truly gifted in many areas from acting to musical. Her acting skills are phenomenal and her voice is simply amazing on all levels. She is multitalented, innovative, assertive, and very caring. I would recommend anything on the spectrum for her.

My lessons are geared towards fostering a healthy, confident singer from beginner to advanced levels. Providing you with the necessary tools in order to adapt to any situation, whether on stage or in studio. Building your instrument to weather adversity comes from a grounded and functional technique that fits your individual voice. Most importantly, singing should be a joy and that comes with confidence.
Through my over 15 years of experience singing professionally I’ve performed in every venue imaginable. From lead roles in operas to performing at venues like the Forum to singing on Disney soundtracks. Passing on the technique which has allowed me a career with longevity and flexibility is important to me.
A singer’s unique voice is a huge asset. You shouldn't sound like anyone else, you should sound like you. That’s where a healthy foundation can give you the guidance to sound like the best version of you.

About Michael

I am a professional singer in Los Angeles with credits ranging from opera to Disney. With over 15 years of professional experience, I practice what I teach to maintain my voice and have been lucky to have had great teachers along the way. I started my career in opera and choral ensemble work. F

"A little background about myself - I'm a mid-twenties male with a musical background but zero singing experience. Singing is something I've always to learn and after finally pulling the trigger on lessons, I really could not be happier with choosing Robert and Michelle. As he often teaches with his wife Michelle, you’re essentially getting two professional vocal instructors for the price of one! They’re both extremely talented singers and teachers with a great sense of humor. More importantly they’re just really good people. I was extremely nervous before starting lessons, but right from the first lesson, they put my worries at ease and created a safe and encouraging learning environment for me which leads to each lesson not only being incredibly fun, but also very rewarding. They will teach you the proper technique for healthy natural singing and give you many laughs along the way. Even though I haven't been taking lessons for long, after each lesson I'm floored to hear and feel how my voice is changing – I'm eager to hear how my voice develops over the coming months. Can’t recommend them enough!"

"Shauna is an absolutely incredible voice/acting teacher. She took the time to meet me where I was and encouraged me to be confident in the skills I already possessed. As a dancer, it is often scary to use your voice because it isn’t something we often exercise. Shauna helped me gain incredible knowledge in a new instrument. I was preparing for an important audition and with the tools she gave me I was able to have incredible success on a nearly impossible time constraint! I highly recommend Shauna for all levels :)"

"24 yo Baritone | I've taken singing lessons with Steve for about 10 months. Before starting, I had moderate singing experience from competitive high school choirs but had regressed by picking up a few bad habits in the 6-ish years since.

I came in with few specific goals aside from becoming a better all-around singer.

Steve initially helped me improve my technique and cultivate a fuller sound using a variety of physicalization exercises. Since, we have progressed through songs he selected that each challenged certain parts of my voice while also highlighting my strengths. We'd keep coming back to songs I struggled with until I developed the desired skill. In that way, each song kind of brought its own lesson.

10 months later, I have a collection of songs I can perform confidently. In this time, we've also spent time on music theory and focusing on new skills I grew interested in improving (like singing with quiet intensity).

Finally, it's also important to note that Steve has always been patient, kind, and supportive. I was nervous before starting singing lessons again, but his gentle though direct feedback put me at ease quickly."

"She is a great teacher!

I took Serena's lessons via skype and I wasn't sure what it would be like at first, but I loved the experience. I didn't even have to leave my house for voice classes. I really liked her because she really does try to help you out and makes the experience relaxing and fun. She has been in plenty of musicals herself and has lots of experience. I would definitely recommend her!!"

In the few months I have taken lessons with her, my voice improved so much I still can't believe it. Amber has so much life experience that she knows all the tricks to get you to where you want to go.
When I started these lessons, my goal was just to feel better about my voice. Now I find myself thinking that I could perform, and I owe it all to Amber!"

Sandra's level of patience and her ability to teach while making it fun has helped my daughter tremendously! She has more confidence and she is more controlled with her voice. She has also learned to express what she is singing about through facial expressions. Sandra's guidance has given my daughter an advantage in her endeavors. Want to Someday Star On Broadway? 3 Tips from an Expert

Dreaming about someday starring on the Broadway stage? Here, Los Angeles, CA teacher Meredith P. shares her expert tips to help you get there...   As an audience member, you can sit back and relax at a Broadway show, and not truly understand the work that it takes to get to that coveted stage and the tremendous blood, sweat, and tears that go into each performance.
