I can teach you to play piano in a mindful, body-conscious way (which I find more relaxing and fulfilling). My specialties include any/all of the following: beginner/intermediate piano (any style, including classical and pop/jazz), teaching music reading/theory, learning to playing by ear/with chords, accompanying oneself while singing, learning to arrange/write music and working with individual/special needs.

Though I am not a concert pianist/accompanist by trade, I have 16 years of piano teaching experience, and have worked steadily as a singer-songwriter and in pop, rock and variety bands (as a keyboard player).

About Jennifer

I am a professional singer-songwriter and have been teaching lessons fulltime for the last 12 years. I teach students of all ages and levels of experience. My current range of students include: kids with learning/developmental disabilities, teenagers who have starred in school musicals, and perf

I had a really great time and she explained so much to me that I wasn't really clear on.

I needed last minute coaching for an upcoming audition and was feeling unprepared and frazzled. Chelsea easily knew what I needed. She made recommendations, was wonderfully engaging, and her insight and ear highlighted some important tweaks that I would have overlooked in my haste to prepare. After just one session I felt clearer, calmer, and considerably more confident. Bonus: Chelsea is incredibly kind, fun to work with and makes you feel you already know one another. Experienced Piano teacher of 5 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in their piano skills. I specialize in classical, gentle, and theatrical music. I typically use the Faber Piano Adventures series for beginning and some intermediate students, however I will choose a curriculum that fits the student. I supplement the series with works by classical composers or music theme songs from TV shows, Disney movies, or Broadway shows. I also have the following tools available to use during lessons: pianos, sheet music, and more.

About Rebekah

A graduate from College of the Ozarks, Rebekah earned her Music Theory and Composition Degree in May of 2018 and her Piano Pedagogy Certificate in the Fall of 2017. Since 2012, Rebekah has taught many students of all age groups. Her favorite part about teaching students of any age, is watching

No one is more organized than Rebekah. We loved her as our children's face-to-face instructor, and were worried that switching to online lessons would prove hectic and confusing for our children, but not so with Rebekah. Moreover, she combines flexibility with rigorous standards in a way we didn't think possible. She is an ideal teacher.
Andrew L.
She is unable to fully explain musical concepts. She plays to demonstrate these concepts very seldom. This lesson was the best so far, since she allowed me to play what I wanted to work on, but she seems to lack the ear to quickly understand each part. Her advice is limited in scope and usually vague.

"My 6 y/o daughter just started studying piano this summer 2017 for 30 minutes/session a week and I am so pleased for her progress. She can now play simple songs like happy bday, twinkle twinkle, jingle bells, lullaby, hornpipe, swan lake and she's currently learning " Largo" from the theme song of Little Einstein. Everyday, she's getting better with her finger coordination and ability to read notes. Miss Bonnie has been using animals with the piano notes for my beginner daughter to easily read piano notes. She's very good in encouraging, engaging and teaching beginners to learn how to play the piano! I highly recommend her to all piano enthusiasts out there:) Thank you Ms. Bonnie for patiently teaching Danielle!"

"Whether the yearning of a person to play the piano be as great as a grand passion or as small as a mild interest sparked from within, Howard Richman’s acumen in his piano teaching is comprehensive, ever informative, and the best of all – he makes it forever fascinating to learn.
What is singular in Howard’s approach to teaching the piano is that he incorporates his understanding of life itself into every aspect in how to play the instrument. By this it is remarkable how Howard applies his understanding of a person’s physiology to the most effective extent in order to achieve maximum technique, while always retaining and building on the nature of the player’s individual character/personality. Howard employs logic, common sense, very clear exercises in technique that even include the nature of gravity as in the physical use of the hands, wrists, fingers when playing the piano. Howard makes the learning of any aspect of playing the piano a wondrous journey of discovery and accomplishment. I cannot recommend him more."
