It is important to have teacher, student, and parents work together to see the accomplishments happen in the future. I make the lessons meaningful, so that my student can retain the information and practice effectively at home. My ultimate goal is to have my student think critically and listen carefully, so that they can become their own teacher.

I have never met a person who regretted taking piano lessons!

Piano lessons are an excellent way to engage all parts of your brain while having fun.

My lessons include: note reading, technique, music theory, ear training, and musicianship.

I would like to highly recommend Ivan Shallal as a music teacher for children. Ivan is a gifted piano teacher. He is very well-respected in Rochester Hills and Troy, Michigan. This community is extremely fortunate to have a music teacher of his caliber to teach in this area.

Ivan is passionate about music. His love for the art is evident in his enthusiastic and energetic teaching techniques. He is exceedingly patient with all students, encourages them, and coaxes the very best effort from each one. Although he is one of the best music teachers in the zone, his prices are extremely reasonable. In my opinion, he is worth every penny he charges, and I certainly believe I have received excellent service for my money.

It is my great pleasure to recommend Ivan Shallal as a music teacher. I am tremendously grateful to him for everything he has taught my daughter.

"Great teacher. I'm a total beginner on piano and Leanna has consistently been patient and brought me along at what feels like a very reasonable pace through the fundamentals and basic pieces. She consistently has good tips and helps me work through issues with what feel like very intuitive solutions. Would definitely recommend her to anyone else looking to pick up piano, and would have to imagine she'd be similarly excellent to students who are further along than I am."

"I haven’t even started and I love her. Just from our first introductory phone call I know Michele will be my vocal coach for life. I’ve met enough people throughout my life to recognize immediately when I encounter someone who not only has passion, sophistication, professionalism, and mad skills, but more rarely the ear and mindset of a keen and effective mentor. I can’t wait to begin the journey I’ve always dreamed of..."

"I took lessons from Greg for guitar some years ago and his methods really helped me understand music with the way he taught chord theory and such. It applied to literally every instrument I learned afterwards.

Greg also has a plenty of patience for his students and is really good at encouraging growth and understanding in his students. Sometimes I would come in with a song I wanted to learn that was way more advanced than I was at the time, but rather than say I couldn't play it or to wait until later, he would take that difficult song and help break it down into what I did know and we'd go from there and as I result I felt I learned quickly, as well as understood how to break down songs into their more basic elements which would become later on for when I wrote my own music or lead in bands.

All in all a great experience and I feel like I owe a lot of my musical ability to the lessons I took with Greg."
