For past 8 years, I've been teaching students Pre K- 8th grade to play percussion instruments to create a rhythm and keep a beat. They were taught to explore different percussion instruments. As a music student, you'll learn about drums, tambourines, xylophones, and other instruments you strike, shake, or rub to make music. You will also learn the types and parts of percussion instruments and then explore how pitch changes based on the size of the air column.

Experienced percussionist with a passion for teaching beginners and intermediate students. All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. I can teach any percussion instrument, however I specialize in marching percussion, concert snare, timpani, and basic mallet percussion. We will focus on basic fundamentals, technique, and overall musicianship; and we will progress towards more advanced concepts such as sight reading and complex musical arrangements. I am excited to help you not only build your musical skills, but also develop a love for percussion!

Hi! I’m 23 years old, and I’m currently serving in the U.S. Space Force. I’ve been a percussionist since I was 12 years old, and even though I joined the military after high school, it hasn’t stopped me from drumming. I was an All-State percussionist in high school, and my high school band was rank

In our percussion class we will cover music theory, counting rhythms and discover a variety of percussion. The majority of this lesson will revolve around the Cajon, Shaker, Tamborine, and using brushes and snare technique and will explore african drums as well!
Bring your hacky sack and get ready for the drum circle. This class is perfect for groups and couples. Feel free to use the "ask a question" feature if you have any questions about this class or it's outline!
About Rachel
I started my musical path in a Ballet Studio. I fell in love with the crackle of the vinyl record playing as I learned to listen and dance with the rhythm. I started playing the guitar when I was in elementary and took classical lessons until I was a teenager.I really enjoy the art of practice

I have a lot of experience playing all kinds of percussion! I've been doing it since I was in middle school, and have gotten a degree in Percussion Performance.
I've always played because I genuinely enjoy it, and I'd like to help people who are trying to get better for auditions, or just want to learn a piece.
These are your lessons, so we'll try to hit whatever your goal is. If you want to defer to me, then I'll start you off with basics like refining your technique, and making sure we can keep tempos steady - things that will apply to everything you play.
About Cameron
Hey I'm Cameron, I'll try to cater lessons to your goals and have fun in the process. I love sharing my knowledge, musical experience, and love for music! High energy and engaging!

Kevin not only is an incredible percussionist himself, but he has a knack for being able to convey ideas to students that they can understand. New and better approaches to teaching rhythm, personalized lesson planning to suit a student's needs, and a vast knowledge of music from years of professional experience are just a few things that Kevin brings to the table. If you're looking for a percussion instructor, I would highly recommend Kevin as your first choice!"
