"Choral conducting is the art of directing a musical performance, such as an orchestral or choral concert."
As a conductor, I will do my job to the best of my ability to set the correct tune, proper tempo, ensure exact entries by various members of the choir, and to shape the phrasing appropriately, to convey ideas of the music and work on interpretation in rehearsals prior to a performance.

I am an 18 year old cellist and have played for eight years. I have had intensive lessons and multiple awards and accomplishments with playing the cello. I would love to work with beginners of all ages and teach them the wonders of the cello.
I have great experience with kids and helping other students with music. I am 18 and just starting to teach cello, but I have a high level of ability and experience with playing music that will aid me in teaching beginners. I am young and will be able to connect with younger kids and teens.

I didn't identify as a singer until college, which was where I discovered opera. Classical singing so beautifully exemplifies the versatility of the human voice; I fell in love and joined a choir. Through my experiences, I learned anyone can sing and that training your ear and voice can be accessible to all with a baseline knowledge of music theory. I strive to give my students freedom to sing what they love, help them explore their abilities, and make them better musicians.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Maryland with degrees in Piano Performance and Music Education. I've been teaching piano for over 6 years, and voice for 2 years. Earlier this year I founded Fermata Music Studio which uses the Arts Integration system to contextualize music in students

My primary instruments are jazz guitar and upright bass.
Growing up I have always wanted to sing but never could find a qualified teacher.
Luckily, after extensive research online for vocal teachers I discovered Kara.
I have been taking lessons with her for a while now and she's wonderful.
I always have many questions for her in my lessons and she always has a knowledgable response.
I feel like I'm progressing and finally learning how to sing properly with someone who knows their stuff.
I would highly recommend studying with her.

I feel very comfortable with being able to be at a jam session and play along with the rest of the group. He taught me how to come up with licks using factorials, how to create a solo using modes and adding some flavor to the solos with techniques such as pop and slap or changing the tempo.
Thank you, Omar, for being such a great teacher! I feel much more confident in myself as a bass player because of the time you spent with me and all of the knowledge you departed onto me. I am very appreciative of you for that - thanks again!
