I have been a professional singer since 1983 and have taught since 1986. I studied voice and trained classically from 1972 - 1982. Several of my students have been professional singers, from rock to opera. I teach the individual to understand the technicalities of the vocal instrument; how to breathe correctly, understand the internal acoustics and how to access them, how to project healthily, how to relax and get out of the way of using your instrument, and so much more. This is not your typical voice curriculum, but even more essential if you want to keep your voice in top form all your life. At 67, I can sing with or without amplification for several hours a day indefinitely because I have mastered the techniques I will teach you.

About Barbara

Singing is my life! I trained classically from 4/1972 - 4/83, then continued concentrated self study for 5 years. I sang for Voice of America and National Geographic Explorer specials before becoming voice coach for the MD Renaissance Festival. I have sung professionally since '83 and have taught

I've had experience working with both beginners looking to sing for enjoyment as well as coaching aspiring professionals to refine their craft and move ahead with career goals! I tailor lessons according to your goals while also helping you discover and fulfill your maximum potential. I establish and maintain a calm, safe space for us to explore your voice without pressure or judgment, and encourage your insights and creativity.

I also emphasize the importance of overall musicianship for singers so that they have deeper understanding and appreciation for their musical selection. This can include learning to sight sing, transposing songs to your correct key, accurately communicating preferred tempo and rhythmic feel to other musicians, writing charts in order to work with live bands and so on.

About Rachel

A graduate of Duke Ellington School for the Arts and the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Rachel Panay is a 6 time Billboard Club charting singer/songwriter in the Dance music genre. She recently returned to her musical theatre roots appearing as Rose in Theatre Lab's production of The Secret

DO NOT BOOK WITH RACHEL PANAY RAZIEL
It is with deep regret that I have to report that Rachel was clearly INTOXICATED during her lessons with my children today (ages 14 & 11). We will not be using Take Lessons again. There is no way an app can sufficiently vet all these teachers. Please don’t put your children in danger and learn this lesson the hard way like we didi.

Rachel is a great teacher for my 12 year old child. Rachel builds her confidence and meets her exactly where she is at. I highly recommend her.

Only have had one lesson so far but I’m very much looking forward to more! Already I can tell with how knowledgeable she is that I’ll have a great understanding of piano and music in general

Vocal Coaching & Artist Development

I have been teaching singing for 10+ years. I've enhanced singing lessons into a complete program of vocal mastery/songwriting/production.

I am an active music artist, music production/audio engineer college graduate, "The voice" ex-participant and vocal producer with vast experience in online music marketing.

Today's music industry requires to be prepared and aware of its fundamentals. Voice mastery, digital distribution and streaming, producing, audio recording, royalties, interpretation, social media, songwriting, copyright, are all random pieces of a puzzle you must put together in order to succeed.

I've been making music for over 22 years and I've felt the pain of figuring out this puzzle by myself. I've been copyright stolen, false magic lesson invested, lousy contract scammed, paying to perform, falling short of budget, trading soul for fame and many other beauties of this industry in my journey to try to make a living out of ...

I've been a professional singer and actress for over twelve years, performing on Broadway in Lincoln Center's Tony-winning Revival of "South Pacific" and touring the county with Rob McClure and Anika Larson in the First National Tour of "Avenue Q." I have an MFA in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design, graduated summa cum laude, and was the only female recipient of the Presidential Scholarship for Vocal Performance. My BA is in Arts and Education from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

I teach all levels of singing and am familiar with different styles, like contemporary musical theatre, legit, belting, and pop/ rock. As an actor who sings I think it's important to connect with the text and let the vocal technique support those choices for the most compelling performance. My passion is creating audition cuts and crafting them into bite-sized yet complete scenes. Audition technique is key if you want to be in shows because someone has to cast you first. A-mazing! She’s an awesome mentor! Her approach to singing is brilliant in the sense that she helps you explore yourself, your strengths and areas you could work on to improve. She helps you find and utilize your voice in a way that makes a unique artist. She digs in right to the foundation of singing (vocals) and performing. I am glad to have found her! And to add up, I never had a dull moment with her with her sense of humor and caring approach!

"I have had not less than 10 voice coaches over a period of 15 years and not one single one of them is as thorough as Christine. I had my first lesson today and what impressed me the most is that she's started me how to apply vocal exercises to an actual song. She is also a fantastic communicator who is very good at breaking down complex concepts. She is very humble ....a trait thats hard to find these days. I enjoyed the lesson and she made me feel at ease. She really does know her stuff . I learned a lot today ... She really is a gifted teacher."

The 10 Best Songs for Sight Singing Practice

Sight singing practice is an excellent way to round out your skills as a vocalist. Here, Saint Augustine, FL teacher Heather L. shares the 10 best songs to get started with... Attending my alma mater, Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, was a lot like going to sight singing boot camp. Every student who attends, despite his or her major or instrument, must sing for four years in the college's professional choirs. Though many organists and pianists are annoyed at first, th …
