Andrew is a fantastic teacher - patient, very knowledgeable and professional. I was shocked by how quickly I was able to progress from a complete beginner to being able to play full pieces. I was nervous but Andrew put my mind at ease and have me confidence with the instrument. He’s very attentive to students needs. Can’t recommend enough!

Again I work well with kids to have fun. we can focus on their favorite songs and then from there learn scales, and improvisation to make them shine. With acoustic guitar we will focus on chords so you can learn to play any song.

About Max

I like working with all different age groups teaching them in a way where they can go and learn to play their favorite songs. I can also teach music theory but I find that with kids it is more exciting for them to learn how to play the type of music they are into. Once we have established that we

I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of piano and guitar skills. I typically use Alfred's Basic books: lesson, technic, and theory books. I also provide students with homework sheet that explains what we have been focusing on, what they have achieved, and what is the expectation for next lesson.

Extremely unprofessional to abruptly cancel scheduled/paid lessons without the courtesy of a message or any notice because this instructor was unhappy with a 12-year-old child's progress. Very surprised by and disappointed in the manner in which he handled this situation, certainly could have been handled with more respect and maturity.

"Theresa is most excellent. There's no question that she knows music and is an accomplished musician, but the real trick is being able to share that talent with a saugsage-fingered doob such as myself. And make it seem a reasonable proposition, something you could do. She has an innate style of instruction that is at once comforting and challenging, setting the bar ever higher while giving enough encouragement that you want to do better. My highest recommendation."

"took private beginner lessons with Ahmad before moving out of the country -- he was extremely accommodating and patient despite my erratic schedule which prevented me from practicing as often as I needed to.

Ahmad is an incredibly talented musician and a wonderful teacher for any skill level. He taught me the basics and introduced me to valuable lessons to steadily increase my skills. He also has a great taste in music and in addition learning from him each week, I loved picking up recommendations for new artists and bands to listen to."

"After having played sax and flute for 7 years, I decided to start to learn the guitar during the quarantine. After a month of learning on my own and through apps, one of my good musician friends pushed me to seek out lessons. I had a few teachers in mind, but he told me that Charles would definitely be the best choice for me.
I have now been taking weekly lessons with him for the past three months, and my progress has skyrocketed. My guitar playing was quickly brought to the next level, and he also gave me a solid foundation in music theory that has helped me a lot on the sax and flute as well.
Charles is excellent at adapting to his student's needs and limitations. When I was traveling and had no access to a guitar, we had a lesson on facetime audio using my flute in the middle of a park, and that was one of the best I have ever had, even without video or the guitar.
Charles is a great teacher and also a great musical mentor. He will not let you stagnate, he will push you to reach your goals and provide you all the tools to do so. The homework he gives after each lesson also helps a lot to consistently reach the goals that have been set.
For any level, beginner, intermediate, or expert, I strongly recommend him to be your next guitar instructor."

"My name is Justin, and I've been tutored by Paul since October 2018. I came to him without any prior music experience and unsure if I could ever learn to play the guitar. I'm glad that I chose him as my tutor. He knows how to explain different concepts in a way that I can understand. That coupled with his eagerness for me to get better makes him an excellent teacher. Every time I attend his class I'm always motivated to improve. I would definitely recommend him to anyone trying to play an instrument."

How to Simplify Your Live Guitar Rig for Performances

Playing the guitar is such a fantastic experience. It’s so relieving to be on stage or in your designated practice space and just wail on your instrument.
