I have a lot of experience with kids. I'll work with kids as young as 4. With all my kids, I use games to teach them life skills and audition skills. Things like: look people in the eyes and smile at them; be respectful, kind, and helpful to everyone.
Acting – I have taught all kinds of acting, including Audition Skills, Shakespeare, Stage, Film & TV, Dramatic, Comedic, whatever. I also have quite a bit of experience performing in all those arenas. I have a relationship with one of the best management agencies in the area, so my students get fas

I have been teaching dance for about 4 years now. I have taught ages 3 to 20 years old. I have danced since I was 4. I also did gymnastics. I do not have a dance room in my house, and my classroom is occupied, so for dance, it would have to be at another location. I teach different styles. I prefer to teach elementary/middle school students. I do enjoy young children. It is hard for them to focus. My goal is for the dance student to feel confident while dancing, and learn dance technique.
Hello, my name is Meagan D., and I have been living in the DC area for about 5 years. I attended Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. I have my Bachelor's of Science Degree, a Michigan's Provisional Teacher's Certificate, and a Maryland Teacher's Certificate. My major was Mathematics
I sought Meagan out after my daughter came home with a failing grade in Algebra I. I am very happy with my selection, she is the perfect fit for my daughter. She is very flexible and I appreciate that she doesn't make my daughter feel like her lack of understanding of the subject matter makes her inadequate. I am going to continue hiring Meagan for the duration of the school year, my daughter really likes her and is learning far more than she is from her regular classroom environment.

I've been working with Keanon for almost a year now. Aside from being an amazing vocalist himself, he does everything he can to help students reach their full potential and find their voice. I have been playing and writing music for the past 9 years, and in that time have experimented with scoring for dances, musicals, and other performing arts mediums. Film scoring is a challenging but rewarding endeavor, and can make the difference between a good film and a breathtaking one.
We will work on creating a large arsenal of sound palettes that you will use to create and color various scenes. I'll assist you in how to breakdown a story into parts in order to develop themes, and repeating motifs that will create familiarity for the audience. In addition, we will study and analyze the music from some of your favorite films and by your favorite composers in order to understand how to weave music in and out of a film.

Speaking as a peer, Jennifer's teaching style is a great hybrid between a technique-driven, traditional curriculum and a wholesome appreciation for the joy and spirit that keeps dance as a universal language. I have been in financial business for many years. Recently, I took a project and need to adapt quickly to play a role in a film within very short time period. I am very lucky to find Kim:
(1) She is well prepared for each lesson. She understood clearly about my objectives;
(2) She gives me lots of valuable tips to improve my acting skills;
(3) She is very quick to grasp the film writer and director's intention for the role;
(4) She pays great attention to every detail of the script to help me to maximize my potential in the role;
(5) She goes above and beyond: she reviews my recording and gives me great feedback after the lesson; she went through multiple scripts within very short time period on her own time;
(6) She is extremely fun to work with;
I just finished my second lesson with Kim. She is not only a great acting coach, but a great actor! She is definitely a go to person in my future film venture!!!"
