My goal as a teacher is to help my students play music and achieve their individual goals while getting the best possible sound from the guitar. After a musical foundation is established, I have found that technique is learned best when in tandem with repertoire that supports it. While I encourage my students to explore various and any genres of music, I do request that my students are open to learning technique as it equips the student with the skills necessary to tackle any genre of music.

My Name is Jordan, I love teaching! I teach virtually all genres of music on the guitar be it electric or acoustic.I teach my students based on their needs and goals and take them in the direction they want to go. I can help you to reach an advanced level efficiently and can show you how to minimize the frustration a lot of students experience when practicing. I'm very patient and no matter how much talent you think you do or don't have, I know that with the right approach you can reach your goals on the guitar :)

I love teaching music! I have been a professional guitar instructor for over 8 years. Through attentive one on one instruction I develop a program to suit the player's goals. I emphasize technique with drills designed to raise my students' skills evenly across a wide range of categories, like picking, fretting, scale patterns, chord shapes, chord progressions, rhythm training, and ear training. I can guide a complete beginner toward being able to play songs and have fun. For the more serious student I have a plan that will make you a better player and musician guaranteed.

I spend a lot of time gearing my lessons to each specific student. Obviously we will learn songs that you are interested in. But in addition to that I write out specific exercises to help my students learn while also making it something that is fun and interesting to play so that we are not tied solely to learning from a book when it is not necessary. I can also help with songwriting, improvisation and other creative pursuits. The genres I am well versed in are pop, rock, classical, jazz, blues, funk, etc.
About Yusuf
I've been playing guitar for 14 years. I have always had a passion for learning as well as performing music and I continue both of those practices to this day. I am a strong believer in gearing each lesson plan to a students individual interest and will write out individual exercises and arrangemen

I have taken lessons with David for about 5 years. He is not the typical instructor you run into in a music store. The focus is on music theory and how it relates to guitar. Instead of starting right off with a few easy songs and power chords you learn basic chord types, scales, etc... Once you have the basics down then you learn how to apply them to actual songs. The difference is that you will learn how to play the song not only as it is written but also how to modify it to make it your own. The other thing that is nice about David is he a structure set up that allows you to see the progress you are making and actually know that you are getting better. That is not really easy to see in something like music where gains are slow and not easily measured. He also comes up with an individual lesson plan that allows you to work on your weaknesses and keep up your strengths. You can find teachers out there that will be easier on you but would be hard pressed to find one that will teach you as well as David. I highly reccomend to anyone who is serious about learning guitar."

I've tried several different teachers in Nashville.
David is by far the best. Anyone can teach guitar
riffs, but it takes a special kind of teacher to teach music.
Not only will you learn the song, but you will learn the theory
behind it. Your guitar playing will improve immediately, but more
importantly your comprehension of music will improve."
