Hello and welcome to my studio!

Your first lesson begins with breathing exercises as we need air to play trumpet. Proper posture, embouchure, and making a nice sound will come next. And later we will work on the more intricate aspects of trumpet playing such as articulations and range, while learning new songs!

If you are already familiar with the basics of playing trumpet, we will work on the specific areas you want to work on.

I'm glad you have decided to take trumpet lessons and look forward to helping you make great music! So what are you waiting for? Let's get started!

About Andrew

Hello and welcome to my studio! I started trumpet as a young elementary schooler and began teaching private lessons in 2015. I had very poor technique up through highschool but landed a jazz performance major in college. I hurt myself playing and started to tear muscle in my lip. I decided I

Andrew seems to be very knowledgeable as a Trumpet teacher. He teaches my son who is 12 years old. I am very happy with the way he is giving tips to my son for playing Trumpet. First I was skeptical about online classes. After three classes, I am glad I chose the online classes with Andrew. Here is the input from my son for the review >>> He answers questions well. He gives great strategies for playing trumpet. He also gives great insights before/after following his tips. <<<

I've been playing trumpet on and off for years and just had my first lesson, and can see that Andrew knows what he is doing. He is very organized, a great communicator, and listener. His guidance seems very methodical and structured which is what I need to work toward my goals.

Can’t speak highly enough about Andrew. His lessons are very engaging, he does a great job diagnosing issues, and he’s an all around fun and talented music teacher.

With years of teaching and gigging experience as a lead trumpet player, jazz soloist, classical player and composer I can guarantee improvement in whatever area my student is interested in. I can teach from a beginning level all the way to advanced players looking for additional coaching. All ages are welcome. In my lessons we will identify what aspects of trumpet playing and music you are interested in and work to improve in those areas. I specialize in fundamental brass technique, range improvement, endurance, jazz improvisation and songwriting. My teaching style will incorporate a theoretical approach so that my students learn about music as a whole while improving their trumpet playing.

About Pablo

With years of teaching and gigging experience in a wide variety of musical styles, I can teach students whatever they are interested in learning. I believe that it is very important to have a good musical foundation in addition to playing the trumpet. We will go over aspects of music theory such as scales and key signatures. We will go over the fundamentals of playing trumpet and use exercises from various different method books. We will also go in depth into any styles that you are interested in. I will ask you to listen to recordings of great trumpet players so you can model their sound. Lessons will be rewarding and fun!

About Matt

I attended West Chester University from 2011-2015 and graduated with my bachleor's in music education. I performed in the marching band, symphonic band, wind ensemble, jazz ensembles, various trumpet ensembles, and a brass quintet. One of my trumpet ensembles made it to the semifinals in the Nation

"I started taking lessons with Mr. Gallo when I was in 6th grade. I am in tenth grade now and I am a phenomenal player. Whether I needed help with a playing issue or had an event and wanted to be ready, he always knows the answer. Every time I think I have reached my peak in playing, he surprises me and bumps me to the next level. Solo ensemble is a band event in which you would go to and have judges judge your playing on a particular song. This year I am playing a level 7, which is the highest level of difficulty you can play for this and will ever see in the real world musician life. Most professionals can't do this. No one you can find will be as good as a teacher as Mr. Gallo."
