I can't say enough good things about Earl's instruction. He's extremely knowledgeable and talented and yet responsive, inspiring, and kind. Rather than applying a narrow and rigid approach to teaching, lessons are built around my abilities and interests and he has taught me new ways of looking at music and playing guitar. I feel very fortunate to be one of his students.

I have been training on the saxophone for upwards of twelve years! I have been giving lessons since 2015, and I am qualified to teach beginner to advanced players. I've earned top chairs in my county, district, and state, and students of mine have gone on to do the same in their own ensembles! I have also played in select honors bands, such as the Great American Marching Band in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I am a skilled teacher, having served as a middle school teacher's assistant and summer camp music instructor. My prices are competitive because I simply want to share the joy of music with you or your student!

What to expect when you take lessons with me:

-Flexible scheduling
-A judgement-free, creative environment!
-A free PDF of the saxophone fundamentals workbook with which I teach, as a supplement to personalized lesson-planning.

I have been thrilled with my lessons with Ashley! She is exceptionally skilled and makes me feel comfortable and encouraged. Acting can make one feel very vulnerable, so I appreciate that studying with Ashley has given me a safe space to grow and experiment with my craft.

Gordon is an excellent teacher. The thing that stood out most about him is that he will let you learn anything you want! He doesn’t just read off a book, but asks you for what you want to play, and guides you through it. He also makes you more confident, and pushes your boundaries. The experience is highly interactive and entertaining. I have accelerated so fast through his teaching and I would highly recommend him!
Gerry S.
The reason for 3 stars is that the audio was terrible. Gordon sounded like he was in a tunnel , and I was getting feedback on my voice, it was very disconcerting and hard to understand. Difficult to learn under those circumstances. The video was just fair. Gordon is good, but the experience was not.

"Seth is a good dude. I came across his profile with Take Lessons a month ago, after browsing through other instructors in my area and other schools in my area. He's got the experience and knowledge, so I connected with him for an initial lesson. It was a quick one to get introductions out of the way and a good idea of goals/direction. From there we further honed our plans for my instruction in an hour lesson and are directing our sights on my upcoming auditions. Seth has shown me through simple explanations of theory that his teaching style is very approachable, and additionally, was able to show me good technical skills on working my way around the horn, which is especially useful for someone like me in my twenties who already has a few bad habits (haha). Like I said, he's a good dude, good sense of humor so I feel at ease practicing with him and his knowledge is insane! Not only for saxophone but in so many other areas of music! You'd be doing yourself a favor to take at least an hour lesson from him and see how you go."
