I can teach a variety of ableton techniques, from basic production, to complex engineering protocols like rewire and max

About Sean
Hi! I'm Sean. I love music and one of my goals in life is to share my love of music with everyone else, in a number of different ways. I am an active freelance composer, guitarist, and teacher in Baltimore City, and I'm currently seeking an MM in Composition at Peabody. I play a wide range of styles - fingerstyle, classical, rock, jazz, metal, and just about everything in between!

I strive to have all of my students become balanced musicians. If reading or theory is a soft spot, we'll apply your strengths and catch up quickly. I also think that being interested in the music that you're playing is incredibly important when learning an instrument. I try to incorporate your favorite styles of music to learn techniques that will benefit you to not only become what you want to be as a musician, but have the skill to do or play whatever you
want if your preferences change. As far as music teachers go, I'd like to think of myself as pretty laid back. I understand that most people have lives outside of music, so we'll go at a pace that is most comfortable for you.

*** Lesson Details ***
I combine the styles of music that you prefer with some kind of method book for reading and theory. No purchasing of music is required. Normal lessons start with the previously assigned material, determining what we need to work on, new material, and ending with things to do at home.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Ample guitars, amps, chairs, and music stands

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide a music stand, tuner, metronome, and amplifier if necessary

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in classical methods - sight-reading, theory, and performance play an integral role in music.

Sean was a great teacher. I asked him if he knew how to teach Bollywood style Violin and even though he didn't he took the time to study it and learn just to teach me. I really appreciate that he was so open to trying so hard for his students. I think Sean is great!

Great first lesson. High hopes for follow lessons.

I self-taught myself guitar over 35 years ago; mostly forgotten. Sean began with establishing goals that would meet my goals. The feedback to me during the lessons was focused and delivered in a friendly manner. Progression was enhanced due to his manner and his approach to teaching. While this was the first lesson, I am looking forward to future lessons.

I can provide coaching through basic recording, use of both session view and arrangement view, live audio and midi instrument recording, audio effects processing, mastering vocal performances, and basically creating and recording tracks for demos and for professional audio quality music production.

About Jake
There are many ways to express the heart, and music is one way I love to do that. I would love to help sharpen your skills in expressing art, music, emotion, and creativity in any way I can! I believe the gift of music is given to each person to enjoy, experience, and express what words alone cannot.

I have been playing music for 7 years, and have had the opportunity to play guitar and sing in many settings. Much of this experience has been in a Christian worship music setting, and also with open mic nights, scoring for video, as well as writing and playing in a band. The instrument I am most comfortable teaching is guitar, and I have also sung in most settings I have played guitar in. I have also learned a lot about how to use programs like Garageband and Ableton to produce ad record music as it is crucial to capture inspiration befor
e it flies away sometimes. I also have some experience in playing ukulele, drums, piano, bass, and backup vocals.

My BA from the Berklee College of Music focused on using Ableton as an Industry Standard DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), and using it to produce music in a way that fits you and your style. Lessons on Ableton focus on how to use the program in all aspects, as both recording and production software.

About Eric
MUSIC!
I think music is the most beautiful thing in the world, so lets take time to learn and play music together.
I have been playing the drums for over sixteen years, and been in over fifteen bands in the course of that time. I have a degree in Music from the Berklee College of Music were I studied music theory and focused on Music Production and Engineering. I have been playing Piano, Bass, and Guitar for about ten years in addition to the drums, and have been recorded in sessions on each. I have a deep passion for synthesizers and electronic music, so lets make some bleeps and bloops together.

I am extremely kind, friendly, and funny so lessons with me are very relaxed and have an easy to learn environment. However I am very passionate about teaching to fit student needs; so if a student likes deadlines and homework, if that is w
hat will help them learn the best, then that is how I will teach.
Lets make some sweet music together!!
~Eric

Ableton is one of the best music software out there and I love teaching it! It is a super flexible program, which means it can be daunting for the beginner. Whether your passion is hip-hop, EDM or avant-garde, Ableton is an amazing way to make music and I am passionate about helping you on your way to being a super-producer.

About Fionn
I'm a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, and I'm extremely passionate about helping others reach their potential! I've spend the last few years performing on all sorts of stages, from intimate jazz clubs in Boston to Glastonbury, the largest festival in England. I appreciate the varied ways we all experience different types of music and I want to teach you music YOU want to learn. If you want to learn theory, that's fine too but I understand that not everyone wants to.

I got bass lessons from Fionn in 2016, and it was fantastic. He's a brilliant teacher, and extremely patient. I switched from drums so he basically had to teach me music theory and how to read music too, which he did with ease. Really enjoyable lessons that I learned a lot from, I'd highly recommend Fionn as a teacher.

I just began playing guitar a year ago, but had terrible technique. I began taking lessons with Fionn and noticed a huge difference in my playing almost immediately. Fionn is an incredible teacher and so easy going, I couldn't recommend him enough! I have started playing in front of small audiences now which I never would have had the confidence to do before. He's also great value for money! All I can say is TAKE HIM!!

Learn how to make professional sounding tracks! I prefer hip hop composition, but am also knowledgeable in EDM, indie, RnB, rock, blues, and singer-songwriter style music.

About Jonathan
Are you tired of practicing your instrument with little to no improvement? Don't you wish you could just open your laptop and start making music? You've come to the right place. I have toured with funk and rock bands, I have release multiple CDs and music videos, and am always learning new things about technology and how it relates to music. I'd love to share what I've learned with you!

I started on the piano at age 6, picked up the saxophone at age 10, and have been obsessed with music my entire life. I studied jazz performance in college, but for the past 4 years, I've been focused mainly on electronic music production, mixing, and mastering. To me, it's the most rewarding way to create music. Any sound you're looking for, whether it's a piano, guitar, or some strange synth, can be created to perfection given the right knowledge.

Modern technological tools are revolutionizing the possibilities for musical artists. By learning about music production, you can have the sounds of the orchestra, rock band, and beyond all at your finger tips. I offer instruction in Ableton Live, Pro Tools, and other related plug-ins software and hardware equipment.

Depending on your goals, music production lessons can include instruction on synthesis, realistic sounding manipulation of samplers, recording, mixing and mastering. If these terms sound like Greek to you, that's fine too! All that is required for music production lessons, is an interest in creating music with a computer and other pieces of music technology.

I also offer lessons in composition, music theory, arranging, and piano performance. These subjects may also be included, if applicable. On the first lesson with a new student, I'll always go over the options for potential areas of study and work with the student to develop an appropriate course of study ...

Ryan has a passion for creating and playing music that he clearly wants to share with those new to the art as well as those with experience. His joy is greatest when he is able to foster musical connections for others and help them grow in their own enthusiasm and understanding. Ryan is a an excellent teacher; patient and kind. If you are looking for a task master, Ryan is not your guy. But if you are looking for someone who can spark passion and a deeper appreciation for the craft of creating and playing music, there is no better person I can recommend.
