I teach piano in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play a certain style like Funk, or Blues, or how to approach a classical sonata. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Ms. Brookins is the BEST teacher I've ever had
And a testament to that is that even though I was always bombarding her with question after question about the piano
She would always be calm and tell me "You got this dude" or "come on you can do it"
Cheesy as it may sound it worked
And as a final result of being with her for a year
I can play the music I want to play on the piano BY EAR!
Like seriously this review doesn't do her justice but of you want the best AND the nicest she is the best choice!"

Thank you TakeLessons for helping me find him!!"

She is the one you can come to if you want to improve quickly and effortlessly. She is also a very captivating and interesting person. She has helped me and my son so much. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a great piano teacher."

He's a very patient teacher and awesome personality to study with!"

There are many piano books for kids available, but a few provide the right mix of familiarity and challenges likely to keep your child's attention. The majority of beginning piano books for kids include nursery rhymes and children’s songs, so finding a book that they can enjoy is easy. However, it is balancing this with less f …
