I specialize in contemporary music theory and also have an intermediate knowledge of classical theory. Students will learn the basics such as roman numerals for chords, all the way to advanced concepts such as chord scales, modulation and chord substitution. Unless otherwise requested, all lessons will be taught using music notation.

When I contacted the company they were very nice about it but I had to challenge their vetting process of teachers.

I have found that many people have been confused before my music theory books and lessons. I have had great luck using my approaches in making learning music theory fun and accessible. I know music theory basics like the back of my hand. I used to write pieces with Common Practice Period voice leading for fun. I regularly work with classical and jazz harmony, and I have analyzed many pop and rock songs.
Whether you are looking to improve as a composer or songwriter, or to pass a music theory class, I can make music theory fun and relevant for you.
