About Gregory
I began to pursue a career as a vocalist at the age of 12. I studied for 6 years under a professional opera singer and landed a role in the chorus of 'Annie Get Your Gun' on Broadway starring Burnadette Peters and Tom Wopat.

I continued my studies at Wheaton College, MA, and graduated with a B.A. in Music. Throughout college, I directed and conducted vocal and instrumental groups of various genres, and also began teaching.

Since graduating in 2008, I've taught hundreds of students voice, guitar, piano, music theory, and audio engineering.

During the day, I am a Network Engineer and enjoy playing ice hockey!

*** Lesson Details ***
I first ask the student, as well as the parents, to agree on a set goal. Then, I develop a 'mini-curriculum' tailored to the student's strengths and weaknesses. I structure each lesson the same way
: theory fundamentals, exercises, and performance practice. Within each lesson, I incorporate visuals, games, and other media. Live performances are also highly encouraged.

My student's would say that my lessons are motivational and packed with energy. I always follow up with parents to discuss progress, and the student's mandatory log book helps to keep everyone informed of what is expected each week.

*** Instruments/Equipment ***
I provide only equipment that I will personally use for the lesson (books, audio, and instrument). I do not provide instruments, electronic equipment (i.e. amps, cords, keyboards, speakers, computer, etc), books, or sheet music. I expect my students to have or purchase all the materials they will need.

*** Specialties ***
I also offer ear training, songwriting, vocal arranging and music production workshops for artists interested in pursuing a career in the music industry.

About Matthew
A classroom teacher since 2003, Matthew P. Gallant earned both his Bachelor of Arts in English and his Master's in Teaching from the University of New Hampshire. His fourteen years of professional experience include ten years teaching high school English in New Hampshire and Washington, D.C. and four years teaching middle school Language Arts in Virginia and Maryland.

As a result, Matthew is an expert in instruction and can help students ages ten and up with reading, comprehension, expression, grammar, writing (persuasive, thesis-driven, analytical, creative, essay), analysis, basic skills, public speaking, SAT / test prep, proofreading, editing, presentations and more.

A poet and nationally touring spoken word artist, Matthew is a Busboys and Poets Host, a member of the Beltway Poetry Slam family and the founder of an independent
micropress publisher of poetry books, whose authors include Jesse Parent ("To the Boys Who May One Day Date My Daughter" viral video on YouTube) and Rasheed Copeland (2015 Individual World Poetry Slam first runner-up). He can prepare your manuscript for submission, including editing, revision, workshop / conference, as well as performance critique and confidence-building.

Like his many students over the years, a one-on-one session with Matthew P. Gallant (Mr. G) will leave the student feeling encouraged, challenged and ready for more. The learning will be hard work, of course, but it will also be fun. I look forward to working with you and seeing the results together.

If you want to learn Korean, choose Angie as your tutor. She makes the lessons very fun to attend and I always look forward to the next lesson. She makes quizzes, has you watch videos and explains what is going on, introduces food, etc. She makes learning Korean very easy and fun. These types of tutors are very rare to find, for me at least. Trust me, pick Angie as your tutor. You won't regret it.

About Orla
Hi there!

My name is Orla and I love singing and teaching others to sing! I began my vocal training at the age of 12 learning how to sing classical and musical theater music. I eventually went on to learn jazz and rock vocal techniques before going to Berklee College of Music in Boston where I learned how to sing celtic music and alternative contemporary styles.

The most important thing to me when working with singers of any age or ability is helping them learn the correct techniques to keep their voices safe and healthy while singing. With this strong foundation, my students will be able to achieve almost any style or level of singing they desire. It is totally possible to stretch your vocal range, learn a new style, or incorporate movement into your songs if you simply use the correct and healthy vocal techniques!
I also make s
ure to focus a lot on confidence and stage presence to help students prepare for upcoming auditions, showcases, concerts, and talent shows. With my voice lessons it is absolutely possible to transition out of your stage fright and own that stage like you were born to be there, because you were!! These are not only vocal coaching sessions, but complete performance-ready-workshops.
I am here to make all your singing and vocal performance dreams come true! I can't wait to sing with you :)

About Jennifer
The most important thing to know about me is that I love working with children and it shows. You can trust that I will dedicate myself to the success of your child. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a child succeed at something they truly struggled with.

I have homeschooled my two children since 2002. My son was homeschooled until he entered the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, a highly selective specialized high school in Northern Virginia. He is now a student at at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science. I continue to homeschool my 13 year old daughter.

My most treasured memories are of teaching both my children to read, knowing the great gift of reading is a fundamental building block to a successful life.

I have worked with other children for seven years as a robotics coach and a coac
h for Destination Imagination. I love the thrill of watching children develop new skills, and the blossoming of self-esteem that comes with mastering those skills.

I decided to become a Barton tutor after I saw so many of my friends' dyslexic children succeed with the Barton system. One of my first students was my own nephew!

I have been using the system as a tutor since February, 2017. I graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology-Psychology. I have loved caring for, educating and working with children for my entire adult life, and I will dedicate myself completely to the success of your child, using a proven, evidence-based system to teach dyslexic children to read and spell.

I love working with students of all ages, and look forward to making beautiful music! :)

I also completed pre-medical coursework in my undergraduate career, and am in the process of applying for medical school.
