Clarinet is fun instrument to play, and I will help you get the most out of your learning. As a clarinet student, you will master the range, tone, and technique necessary to become a good clarinet player.

For beginner students, learning will start from opening your case for the first time and progress all the way to playing your first melodies. Beginning students are first taught how to blow across the reed to make a sound on the clarinet before moving on to other basics, including music reading, posture, and breath control.

For intermediate students, lessons will focus on breath control and support, posture, tonal quality, finger dexterity, articulation, hand position, sound production, and music theory as well as musicianship skills.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This was truly money and time well spent. I went into this lesson with no expectations, rather just with the hope of connecting well with a piano instructor that was not only well versed but could ease me into being a student. Paul is a rare treasure. He exceeded all my hopes of what I hoped to gain from my lessons. I would highly recommend him for any piano student. If you're looking to be challenged, and learn any genre of music,, don't wait...book your lessons with Paul. Thank you Paul. I'm looking forward to growing as a student.

Paul has been very patient and wonderful with my 6 year old son who has just started lessons.
Lorenzo S.
My first lesson was great. Mr. Paul was very patient and judged my skill level before making a lesson plan. Initially I was nervous, because I have never taken lessons before, but that quickly went away. I can definitely tell that he knows his stuff when it comes to teaching. He a great teacher and conversationalist.

I am new to playing the flute, self-taught for 8 months. Cooper is very personable and I think he spotted my weaknesses quickly. He was very encouraging and gave me a mixture of exercises working on the beginnings of listening and playing with another musician as well as fingering. He is going to get some theory in as well, so that’s hitting all of what is essential for me to move forward.
Cooper B.
Cooper is kind and encoraging and helped my son work through a difficult audition piece. He really related well with my son and made him feel proud of his abilities and skills. I would be glad to recommend Cooper.

Just getting started but I can tell Cooper knows what he’s doing and I’m looking forward to getting to where I want to be with the harmonica

I really love catering lessons in a unique and diverse way to every individual student because every player has a different style and process for learning. My favorite part of teaching is trying to deliver a "light bulb" moment to a students, or the moment when they finally understand a concept and enjoy doing so.

About Mary

I started playing saxophone in 1994. It was an immediate passion! As the years went on my thirst for music grew and I picked up more instruments. No matter which instrument I play the passion is the same. I like to write and arrange as well so I feel an extreme importance on music theory. I am clas

She is very nice.

Mary was a fun and patient piano lesson teacher. I have never taken any music lessons before so we started with the basics but she did a good job of finding the pace that I learned at. She taught slow enough for me to catch on, but not too slow to where I felt like my 30 min lessons were a waste of time/money.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel the rest of my lessons with Mary because I was becoming too busy with work to stay committed to my lessons and practice. If I ever take lessons again I'll definitely sign up with Mary again, zero complaints.
Madison A.
Mary was amazing teacher for me, and she really sparked my passion for music. I had really just started clarinet when I began taking lessons from her, and I truly believe one of the reasons I am going into music is because of how she made me see it. In the short time that I was able to be her student I learned more than just the fundamentals, and have yet to find a teacher that I work with as well as I did with her. If I could take up lessons with her again, I would in a heartbeat.

"David is a fantastic musician and truly gifted teacher. When I moved to the Philadelphia area, I tried 2 other teachers who had been very highly recommended, but I was sadly disappointed -- not because they were not very good musicians, but because they were not able to pass along to me what I needed I order to progress. I had almost given up on the idea of getting a wonderful teacher who would listen to my needs and be able to help me. But since being with David, my playing has improved tremendously in a fairly short period of time (less that 1 year). He has helped me improve my technique and sound dramatically. And... he's a lovely person. I cannot recommend him highly enough."

"Ally is a wonderful clarinet player and instructor. She has the ability to tailor the lesson to an individual's needs. And is very kind and positive in her lesson delivery. She has shown her wonderful ability to play alongside me in our church group, even though it required her to transpose the music into a new key. She was certainly able to make quick work of it! Ally is a great person and player. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend her as an instructor. HAPPY PLAYING!"
