Sebastián es lo mejor!!! A very knowledgeable and fun teacher that will help increase your confidence in speaking a new language. He is very organized and has a wonderful way of getting to the “root” of the problem areas that may hinder you from speaking like you’ve always wanted. He is a great teacher and a talented musician that will do everything in his power to make sure your language needs are not only met, but exceeded. Gracias Sebastián!

"Andrea works at the Writing Center at Grace Church School, a leading independent high school in lower Manhattan. I've taught there for the last couple years and make a point to send my students to the Writing Center (and her specifically, whenever possible) if they are struggling with any areas of their writing.

I've observed her in the Writing Center on a number of occasions, and she always does a great job navigating the difficult balance between helping students directly, and creating a path for them to work through questions on their own. She is direct, but supportive. She also is very perceptive of students' anxiety levels - many are kids who tend to stress about college and grades often - and how to change her tone, or comment with a personal anecdote, when what the student needs most is a moment to laugh or calm down.

Andrea's best skill in my opinion is teaching her tutees to adjust their priorities based on a deadline. She consults students whose papers are due in a couple of hours, and others who have a whole week left, and without being preachy gets across realistic expectations of what can be done within the timeframe."

"Steve is a Godsend. My son has had multiple tutors, but he never actually liked nor thought any of them were any good. He is a very hard sell. After the first lesson my son informed me that Steve is good. "He taught me something useful" Week after week my son writes an essay. He is actually working at it. Steve is very soft spoken, encourages in a very natural way which works extremely well for my son. My mission this summer was to get my son writing every week, now its happening and I hear zero complaints. Waazaam!"
