Sean was a great teacher. I asked him if he knew how to teach Bollywood style Violin and even though he didn't he took the time to study it and learn just to teach me. I really appreciate that he was so open to trying so hard for his students. I think Sean is great!
Marc T.
Great first lesson. High hopes for follow lessons.

I self-taught myself guitar over 35 years ago; mostly forgotten. Sean began with establishing goals that would meet my goals. The feedback to me during the lessons was focused and delivered in a friendly manner. Progression was enhanced due to his manner and his approach to teaching. While this was the first lesson, I am looking forward to future lessons.

"Hannah's awesome! I contacted her mainly for songwriting feedback but also for guidance while applying and auditioning for BYU's commercial music program. She always went above and beyond in assisting me from songwriting, to voice lessons, to guidance with production and recording and navigating the local music scene. Hannah knows what she is talking about in both vocal and music techniques, as well as the business side of music. And even more important, she truly loves what she does and has a natural ability for teaching in a way that will help you grow immensely! If you are even slightly on the fence about taking lessons from her, don't be--you won't be disappointed!"

"Eric is great! We’ve worked on several songs together. I would write a basic version of the song and he’d help me put it together him being the producer. He knows the audio engineering side as well as the songwriting side and he’s coached me when I’ve done vocals in his studio. Very accommodating and good dude."

"Ahmad is Awesome! Lessons are a must. Before I started lessons, I would find tabs online and it was fun but I was wasting my time. I wasn't progressing and I didn't have any concept of timing and other essential basics. As a result, I was playing the proper notes but I wasn't playing them correctly and I couldn't improvise at all.

Ahmad takes difficult concepts and breaks them down into small, easy to understand pieces. Harmony concepts that I thought I wouldn't be able to grasp, I understand fully and use every day. He has a ton of tips that make learning so much faster. For instance, you learn how to find any note on the neck quickly without having to memorize the whole neck, which is crucial skill. Another great thing is that he uses tablature in his lessons. So, you don't have to know how to read music to get started.

If you ever want to write your own music or play with other people, call Ahmad now. He will make sure you learn the right way. I'm writing music and playing/improvising solos, at a level I thought I would never be able to achieve. Every lesson opens new possibilities."

"Andrew's fantastic musicianship mixed with a low key personality,
is the perfect recipe for a great music instructor.
Aspiring bass players should capitalize on his ability to play
both fluid single note lines-and this is key-his incredibly
funky bottom end. Non-bassists, never fear. He also has the solid music
theory thing down so there is something for everyone to take your musical knowledge to the next level."

"Fawn is an investment in my future, money spent well

Fawn takes you on an unexpected fun, whirlwind of learning when you take lessons with her. Can’t read the notes? No problem, she’s got you. Vocal problems? Oh yeah, she fixes that too. Trouble in the studio? Voice off pitch? Need mic technique? Weak on piano? Sight singing? Can’t play the blues? Can’t play classical? Need to learn how to write a song? Can’t find a hook for your song? Don’t worry, Fawn to the rescue! Seriously, is there nothing this woman can’t do? I soak up her wisdom like a sponge. I’m currently working in the studio with her on my debut album and we are half-way finished. It is sounding ah-may-zing! I am learning so much from this studio wiz. Having her in my life the past 3 years has been the right choice and an investment in my future. Here’s to another successful year with Fawn on my team."

The Anatomy of a Hit Pop Song [Infographic]

When you're learning how to write a song, looking at how other songs are structured can be a great place to start. If analyzing all your favorite songs sounds like a daunting task (it is), you're in luck. The Billboard Experiment wanted to know if there was a formula that could determine which songs …
