David’s 35 years of teaching and performing experience, coupled with intensive years of formal studies with many of the world's greatest guitarists, have afforded him a rich and in-depth understanding of music and the guitar. He shares all of this with his students in an insightful and uniquely original manner. David is committed to helping students enjoy and excel in playing the music they love.

Hi! I am very excited to start you off on your guitar journey. I have been teaching music for six years and am passionate about giving students an effective and engaging musical education. In guitar lessons, we will be learning the names of the strings, chords, strumming patterns, musical theory techniques, and fingerpicking. We will spend part of the lesson working on and learning the techniques mentioned above, and the other part of the lesson learning songs of your choosing.

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. I have taught music for over 15. I love teaching guitar and can help you achieve your goals.

I started playing acoustic guitar when I was seven years old. I have been playing and teaching mostly bluegrass, old time, Irish, blues, and swing jazz styles for many years. I have taught both privately and have also done various workshops at festivals. I have taught guitar multiple years for instance at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival in PA.
My students learn to have fun with music. Students can work on rhythms, melodies, improvisation, song writing, getting into and/or hanging on in a jam session, etc.

I offer packed sessions that will wear you out with the fun of progress. Parents tell me that I have a wonderful way with there kids and my adult students are blown away by their own progress. I have a number of budding stars that are learning how to play in a band, how to perform as a soloist, or how to combine singing with learning the guitar. I've been performing for 40+ years so I share what I know from an entertainers perspective. My emphasis with you will be on teaching strum/picking techniques, bar chords, chord progressions & the music theory it is based on. I will cover a broad range of playing styles. I teach professionals & beginners.
