I was trained at Yoga Haven in Scarsdale, New York with Betsy Kase, and earned a 200-hour certificate in Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. I offer private yoga instruction and meditation at my home studio. My studio comes fully equipped with all yoga props, aromatherapy, and music. Hands-on-assists and personalized classes offered to deepen your experience.

It is a joy to offer Reiki to curious, open clients in need of energy healing. Reiki is a noninvasive energy healing technique totally separate of any religious affiliation and available to anyone. It is a difficult to describe the relaxing, soothing, and deep-healing effects of Reiki to someone who has never experienced.

Excellent first voice lesson. Jillian is warm, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. I was surprised how many "technical" issues she introduced me to (optimal breathing & how best to practice it at home; appropriate use of falsetto at upper limit of bass voice range, etc.) . Looking forward to continued lessons. (Much better use of what used to be my copay for psychotherapy! I've also joined rehearsals with new Encore-NYC chorale group in Manhattan, for people over 55. Music is giving me a real emotional lift in my retirement.)

I did not actually take any lessons with him, but his schedule did not reflect what showed as available in Takelessons. He had a very bad attitude and would not actually schedule the lesson after several exchanges.

I went to Tamara for Yoga to just feel more present and to become more flexible, but I got so much more. A problem with my neck and shoulder I had for so many years that I forgot it was always there , is now gone. It was locked up for years & it's now loose. It gets stiff on occasion, and when it does I now know how to release it. And it works! It took time and practice, but it got there! It's more like a therepeutic, transcendental session of magic wherein I'm learning how to do the magic on my own. So good!

Meditation with me is designed to give you time to "reboot." Heather is 30 years old and has had 23 years experience participating in various forms of fitness and two and a half years experience teaching pole dance techniques. At the age of 8, she started baseball with the Boys and Girls Club (5 years), she spent summers in her hometown participated in city sports (tennis, wrestling, track & field), cheered at the local football clinic (2 yrs), middle school (1 yr) and high school (1 yr), ran long distance track in high school (5 yrs), ran cross-country in high school (4 yrs), and wrestled in high school (5 yrs). At ages 7 & 8, Heather was a baton twirler in numerous parades.

Heather is a US Army Veteran and thus has 2 years experience with Army fitness, team management, and leading group fitness.

In 2015, during a transformative time in her life, Heather fell in love with the pole and found
herself engrossed in the performance aspect. Her journey lead her to a change of life and she lost 50 lbs, and despite being an athlete throughout school, became the fittest she had ever been. After two years as a performing artist and dancer, she became determined to help others realize their fitness goals while having fun and expressing themselves through dance. She now teaches pole fitness and dance.

Heather has been teaching calisthenics classes since July 29, 2017 and has had four years experience guiding meditation.

She plans to have a facility one day where she can continue her mission to encourage a fit life, body confidence, and self-expression, by addressing the "whole" of a person, "mind, body & soul."

In less than a year of working with Heather I have regained so much Mobility that I had lost due to injuries. In addition I've lost over 15 pounds and kept it off which I have not been able to do for years. The combination of working out doing yoga and even meditation has given me so much more confidence than I've had in a long time. I absolutely adore Heather.

I've taken both pole and calisthenics classes with Heather and have enjoyed both very much. She always helps me push a bit out of my comfort zone in order to strengthen myself and my body, but never gives me more than I can handle physically. I'll continue going to her as long as she is a teacher and motivator and I'd definitely recommend her to anyone looking for help with their fitness, pole, and well-being needs.

I teach my own unique method of self-growth called adoga. Inspired by various forms of meditation and other self-growth techniques, adoga is a framework for applying, relating, and integrating a series of connected practices.

There is a certain progression that can be used in order to master the quite extensive adoga framework. First, the student is presented with a basic self-growth practice, perhaps a meditation of watching the breath for example. Then, the student is given subsequent, more advanced techniques in a series. Each practice provides a benefit, but each in a unique way. As the student learns a sufficient number of practices, the focus then shifts to integrating and synergizing the practices together, understanding their relationships, and the bigger-picture that they paint.

As you can see from this progressive outline, adoga is really in some ways best thought of as a meta-practice or a collection of practices. It is not just a simple collection though but a highly

Ryan is a composer, improviser, author, music theorist, pianist, music producer, and teacher. He has won awards for his original music, such as his first place award for Best Original Film Score in the Montgomery County Film Festival in 2011. He also has performed in prestigious venues like the Takoma Park Jazz Festival and the Siemens Competition Awards Ceremony hosted in the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.

Ryan writes and performs in a variety of styles ranging from classical to jazz to electronic. He has experience writing music for large ensembles such as orchestras and jazz big bands. As a music producer, he has worked with big and small groups of musicians alike in professional-level recording studio environments. Ryan has a passion for creating and playing music that he clearly wants to share with those new to the art as well as those with experience. His joy is greatest when he is able to foster musical connections for others and help them grow in their own enthusiasm and understanding. Ryan is a an excellent teacher; patient and kind. If you are looking for a task master, Ryan is not your guy.
