Learning Japanese? As being a composer for short Anime films and having a Japanese backround, I have worked with Japanese companies for many years and trained employees of different companies in not only speaking Japanese but also the business culture. But that is not all my classes are for everybody for those planning a trip to Japan. What's special of my classes is that we learn to have a conversation for different situations every week. You will start talking after your first class! CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS HERE ON TL FOR JAPANESE TIPS!

About Rosita
I have been singing and studying voice for over 23 years since I was a child! I hold a Bachelors from Musicians Institute and other accomplished degrees from American Musical Dramatic Academy to conclude my quest for vocal excellence and the ability to sing in multiple languages ( English, Spanish, Japanese and Italian) I have been lucky enough to study with some of the top teachers in the country and now I bring the experience I have gained directly to you!
I am proud to share my student's vast array of musical successes. From being cast on short anime films and musicals to being accepted into prestigious performing arts academies to conquering the Karaoke scene. My passion for multiple languages and love of music is the desire driving me to share the gifts for teaching young children to open the door to their own musical abilities and
hidden artistic desires. I am currently writing a musical which will be debuting in 2020. I'm currently the vocal coach/Trainer and choir director at Iglesia Elim Central.

I will make sure my students have fun and help them get in the right track to their musical goals.

Also, I constantly upload videos on Singing, The Spanish Language, and Japanese! So keep Checking in! It ranges on tips and answering the most common questions on those particular subjects!

Also There are discounted rates for worship teams and church choirs. For more information please contact me through the "Ask a Question feature"

*** Lesson Details ***
I do my absolute best to create a positive atmosphere for my students. Even when the students feel frustrated or stressed, it is important to inspire them and give them the fuel that they need. Though I am strict when it comes to homework and their about their studies. Every lesson at the beginning I will review what we learned previously and test them.
then begin with proper breathing technique exercises, the cornerstone of all vocals. We move on to vocal exercises to condition the voice. Then we work on the songs that you are eager to sing!

I will use a piano when doing vocal warm ups and conditioning exercises. Students that play other instruments and accompany themselves when performing (such as a guitar) are encouraged to bring that instrument to their lessons. My goal is for them to gain the knowledge that they need to help reach their artistic goals.
With all my lessons every student will be taught a basic run down of Music Theory. My students will always progress in what they do. They will have the discipline that they need and yet have fun and be filled with inspiration. Which is the most important thing, to be Inspired to do better.

*** Studio Equipment ***
iMac, condensing mic...performing mic, keyboard, mixer...living room of apartment.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I do have a portable keyboard. Though I do expect the student to have their own recording device and karaoke tracks. At Home I do have a studio, and if the students has an iPod or an Mp3 player I can attach it to a device where all of us can hear the tracks. I do have a recording studio as well.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Musical Theatre, and Pop rock genres. When I teach my students I always have them learn a song of another language whether it's Spanish or Japanese. It helps with diction when they learn a song outside the English Language. Also It helps them to learn another Language at the same time. Also I give them a little anatomy class when they are learning how to sing. I give them a model of the vocal Chords and different areas of the Larynx and which part works for the chest voice and the head voice.

About Toshi
Welcome! My name is Toshi M. I was born in Hiroshima City and raised in Tokyo, Japan.

I am currently working with a new project through Google called, "Ok Glass." It's a data collection project that leads to the betterment of Google products for voice search capabilities in their Google search engine, Chrome software and Google Glass. Google has chosen me to record, translate and transcribe for these projects within the Japanese division!

***Please read my entire page including the Cancellation, reschedule and late Policy carefully before purchasing lessons!!***

My tutoring policy is not just simply to teach the Japanese language as a Japanese. No, I always want to teach students more than the language.

If you are interested in the Japanese traditions as well as the language and traditions, then that is a good start for lea
rning. Fun, interest and enjoyment are the best tools for learning with my tutoring.

You will not only be able to speak Japanese, but you will grasp the traits of the Japanese language, traditions, history, culture, and, most importantly, the uniquely Japanese styles of courtesy and customs simultaneously!

I teach practical Japanese so you can actually communicate and exchange proper responses with real Japanese with a sense of smooth conversation. My teaching method varies depending on the student's level.

Are you struggling?

Perhaps you went to a Japanese language school, but when you saw Japanese anime or movies you still did not understand? Then you wondered WHY, didn'™t you! After all, you paid so much money for school!

Here is the answer: most of the school are not teaching true and complete Japanese! Yes, they are teaching proper Japanese very well. but it only works for some test like a JLPT or speaking at work.

The SECRET is that Japanese people do not speak proper Japanese all the time. They usually speak casual, informal Japanese when they are talking with friends and family, and there are gender differences in spoken Japanese!

Japanese movies and anime cartoons, manga, are mostly stories of friends and family, NOT stories of formal work.

That is why you need to know proper Japanese and casual, informal Japanese both! The Japanese culture and language have customs and orders which you must know and understand completely!

I teach both of these structures at the same time. You need to know when and how to change from proper verbs to casual, informal verbs, and then you will begin to understand the Japanese anime and movies!

I am very strong in teaching proper Japanese, including reading and writing Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. If you are only interested in JLPT Training (any level) or AP Japanese Language and Culture, we can certainly work with that.

However, I also teach business Japanese, word beautification, gender differences in spoken Japanese, proper and casual conversations, polite language, humble language, and respectful verbs. This is necessary for improving your personal and business relations!

I also teach Japanese slang along with many other aspects of the Japanese culture. Whatever you need or want to learn, I am here to assist you!

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I can tutor you in private lessons at your computer. I am experienced with teaching all levels and all ages!

I give a fun, relaxed lesson and work to teach the precise and gentle true Japanese way in a friendly and open-minded one-on-one session or group lessons via Skype.

I believe you will find everything you need, because I am focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction. I will do everything I can to meet your expectations, and with a variety of offerings to choose from, I am sure you will be happy working with me!

I also teach ORIGAMI (Japanese art of paper folding), Japanese Calligraphy, how to make SUSHI, and how to hold the Japanese Traditional Tea Ceremony, How to make healthy Japanese foods. I am able to give you information about J-POP and traditional Japanese songs as well. We can have fun with those, too.

If you would like to have a lesson once per week or twice per week, let's discuss the possibilities!

I do not usually set up a specific 10-hour or 20-hour plan, because it all depends on the student's level.

I then find the best speed for each student. At that point, if you want to stop at 10 hours, that is fine, and you can stop! Or, if you want to continue to do the class, you can continue. You may stop at 8, 15 or 30 sessions... whatever is best for you!

Do you want to speak Japanese for a few conversations... or do you want to speak Japanese fluently? Or perhaps you want to take a Japanese Language Proficiency Test or AP Japanese Language and Culture Test? That all depends on your achievement!

You can let me know if you want to continue or not anytime! Let's go from there!

If you have any questions about my tutoring, please feel free to contact me through TakeLessons.com.

Hope to see you soon, I look forward to lesson with you! :)

ARIGATOU :)

Have an awesome day and God Bless!

Toshi

***Cancellation, reschedule and late, others policy***
Class cancellations and rescheduling must be done 24 hours in advance before the scheduled lesson. If you do not reach me within the 24 hour period, you will be charged for the lesson. (You must contact me 24 hours in advance or else you will be charged for the lesson. It does not matter what the reason the is, you will be charged.)

If you cannot make your assigned lesson time for more than two weeks consecutively (for vacation, camp, or for any other reason) I will have to give your lesson time to another student. I work with many students and have a busy teaching schedule, which means that I cannot afford to hold a time slot with a student that cannot consistently show up for their lesson. If you would to start lessons again, I ask that you please chose your preferred day and time from my availability, and then let me know when you want to start again. I will then put you in my schedule.

If you are going to be late for your lesson, please contact me by text or Skype message before your scheduled class. If you are late 5 minutes or more to class (without prior notice), your lesson will be cancelled, and you will be charged for the missed lesson. Toshi Sensei is truly 5 stars "Best instructor ever." He takes the time to really teach you Japanese culture, and more than what is in the books, so you can TRULY understand Japanese. He is also very friendly and easy to talk to, and learn with! He pushes you to speak the language and is quick to help you fix mistakes, and that is really the best way you can learn Japanese. On top of that, he sends you fun Japan-related links and extra videos throughout the week, and is available any time to help you with your Japanese struggles. I can not recommend him enough. Thank you Toshi Sensei!!

I loved having Toshi-Sensei as my tutor. I take Japanese classes at University, but even going through these classes, and getting help from the teacher and other students I still have many questions when it comes to Japanese. Toshi-Sensei not only helped me out with Japanese, but I can say that many times he went the extra mile. He goes very in-depth in each lesson and he takes his time to explain something to make sure you completely understand. He is also a very nice person and his positive attitude/personality really comes out in his teaching. If you ever need help in Japanese at any level (from completely novice to intermediate level of the language), he can definitely help you out. I will definitely continue having Toshi as my tutor and if anyone else needs help/wants to learn Japanese I definitely recommend them to go to him also.

Toshi sensei has been tutoring me for almost four months now, and it has been one of the most valuable investments I've made into my Japanese. Sensei is professional, patient and seems extremely dedicated to his teaching. He is always well-prepared for the material to cover in the next lesson and has never missed writing the useful follow-up review afterwards. I look forward to every lesson and the 60 minutes always passes quickly. The lessons themselves are usually a combination of grammar practice, reading dialogues from the textbook, and real-time conversation practice. I feel that the conversation practice has been essential towards developing my confidence in speaking Japanese. Sensei is always very patient with me as I fumble through my broken Japanese, and corrects any grammar or punctuation issues immediately. I believe that having this feedback loop is critical in avoiding bad speaking habits, so I am really glad that sensei does this. I also love listening to sensei's stories from his own life and about Japanese culture. He seems to be a passionate person and it is enlivening to listen to him speak. I will definitely stick with Toshi Sensei and look forward to the day that I can hold a conversation with him in full-speed fluent Japanese!

I received my bachelors degree from International Christian University in Tokyo, where I lived for five years. In Japan I worked in customer service and as a translator and interpreter, so I am comfortable with both formal and informal Japanese, and I believe it is important to learn both. I grew up in Honolulu, where Japanese is widely taught as a second language, and have extensive experience tutoring learners of the language. I can also teach violin lessons in Japanese.

About Kelsea
I began teaching violin when I was in high school, and have taught various students in the years since. I also have extensive experience working as a nanny, and have worked with all ages, from infants to teenagers. In addition to having studied classical violin for 17 years, I am a songwriter and arranger, and perform my string arrangements with other songwriters in various venues around New York City. I have a bachelors degree in linguistics with a minor in music from International Christian University in Tokyo, where I researched the cognitive relationship between speech and music for my graduating thesis. I recently moved to Western Mass after finishing my master's degree in violin performance at Belmont University in Nashville.

Students can bring their homework, and work one-on-one with grammar that troubles them most; we can hold test prep. AND, since I have a lot of experience in conversation and interpretation, I can lead conversations to develop your Japanese speaking abilities.

About Walker
Working with teens and adults, I'm learning that language is about connection. What do you connect to in this culture, in these sounds, this perspective? Language expands our power to connect with the world. Sometimes that means enjoying foreign cartoons, at other times making conversation in another country, maybe even reading and writing tweets across the globe. Whatever your motivation may be, I am here to encourage and guide your growth and goals. I've studied and lived in both France and Japan, and built relationships with acquaintances and long term friends alike through these languages. Tutoring I began first with fellow students at DePaul in 2012, facilitating round table discussion with exchange students, and working as an English conversation partner. Since then I've been leading group classes with homeschool students in a Chica
go Co-Op, as well as with private clients in person and online. There is great wonder in language and crossing into new territory; this drives me to share what I have learned with all the people who want to learn too. Focus and determination, along with the right resources and support, can bring you towards your goals. I am here to help.

Thank you very much for helping me, You are one of the best tutor which I had during my study at ELA(DePaul Language Academy). Walker has a great personality and patient for teaching his students the best language skills. Walker`s subjects is not only enhances the language skills, but also the way how a student has to interact with environment which he lives in. He uses different teaching approaches such as games, sports conversation , and deep cultural conversation to make a student gain enough self-confidence to use the language properly. Besides that, his correct use of language skills enhances the students capability for taking more space, and feel more comfortable using the language. Thank you for teaching me English, thank you for making me feel comfortable while I am talking mine 6th language. The most important part of his tutoring sections is the way who he provides the information about the cultural environment, so to help the students to be solid against any culture shock waves. Thank you again for being such a great tutor. Thank you for encouragements, They helped me to feel more confidence while I am using the language for my academic purpose and among my friends.

Walker is an awesome instructor. He's funny and warm and practicing conversation is always something I looked forward to! He's hands-down my favourite tutor I've ever had. As Japanese is such a complicated language, that's saying a lot. I had tons of problems with grammatical rules and Walker really made me feel at ease with his easy to understand explanations. I learned more Japanese in our weekly conversation sessions than I did in a year of my college classes. ウォーカー先生、ありがとうございます!^ - ^
