I've been practicing origami for over 20 years. My love of animals as a kid inspired me to learn origami so I could fold my very own paper zoo. Now, I teach students of all ages and skill levels to fold. I've also been a theatre educator for nearly a decade and I love empowering the inner artist in all of us.
I'll work with you to master the common folds and bases, learn all kinds of models, and show you how to read diagrams so you can keep folding on your own, and even try your own original designs. In addition to creating pieces of art, origami exercises hand-eye coordination and can feel as calming as meditation. After every session, you will come away with amazing paper creations!
Just by folding paper, you can create beautiful pieces of art in five, twenty-five, or one hundred and five steps, from a simple fish to a three-headed dragon. The art of Origami truly has no bounds.

Origami (Ori meaning "to fold", and Kami meaning "paper")
is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin.
There is nothing quite like the joy you get from transforming a plain square piece of paper into a container, animal, flower, etc.
It still puts a smile on your faces when you complete an origami. :)
