About Anna

Inspired by Disney's Fantasia to play violin at age 4, violist Anna Bross hasn't been able to stop performing ever since. She has gone from playing in Grandma's living room to pursuing her dream in Symphony Orchestras and Chamber Groups all across America. She has performed in Arkansas, Colorado

Anna is very good at explaining terms and methods in a way that can be easily understood by a novice such as myself by catering to one's style of learning while at the same time ensuring that the student remain grounded on the fundamentals whether it is in the finger positioning, bowing strokes, or proper posture. I love how she is able not only to identify things that I might be doing wrong but also solutions to difficulties that I might be having during the lessons. As a result, I am very happy at how I have progressed in my skill level since I started a couple of months ago. She is very patient, listens to concerns of the student, very easy to talk to, and has a laid back learning environment. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know who might be interested in learning the violin, whether young or old like myself.

The violin has been a constant and enriching presence throughout my life, and I enjoy helping people engage with this instrument that is demanding and rewarding in equal measure. No matter your age or level of expertise, I would be happy to help you along as you discover new musical territory. Amanda is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and is doing an excellent job teaching my Kindergartner, who is progressing rapidly and enjoying the lessons! This is our third teacher, so we have some experience and Amanda is exceeding our expectations. My schedule is often unpredictable, so far too often, I am late or have to change our timing on short notice, Amanda is kind and patient with both of us and has put a great deal of effort into being flexible and available. We couldn't ask for better!

Laura has been a great teacher for my 6 year-old daughter (starting taking lessons when she was 5). She is endlessly patient and has a perfect balance of fun and instruction in all her lessons. She helped us every step of the way--picking out the right rental instrument, finding extra workbooks that would be fun, coming up with ways to make practicing at home enticing. Laura is made to be a fiddle teacher--she has a obvious passion both for the music and sharing it with her students. My daughter left every lesson with Laura beaming with pride. I'd recommend anyone searching for a teacher to go with Laura!
