Want to know how to take great photos? I have been a photographer for nearly fifteen years creating mostly landscapes, macro, wildlife, night and architecture. My photos have been displayed at art shows and sold numerous times at the Mass. College of Art annual auction. Please tell me about your photography background, what you want to learn, what camera and lens you have, etc. Rule out spam.

Book NowI am a certified teacher with a master's degree in Radio, TV, Film and one in education as well. I was an adjunct professor of photography at Manhattan's New School for Social Research for 10 years and have spent another 10 years teaching other adults as well as adolescents photography. I have conducted private lessons as well as workshops in my own studio.
My teaching is unique because, unlike many photography clubs where members voice their various opinions on photographs, my technique involves an objective approach where lessons are given each time that can be analyzed to see if requirements of the assignment were met. This way, the student learns not just through critiques, but by comparing his or her results to successful examples. I also do quite a bit of field work and teaching by example. It's the most effective way to learn. I get students putting their digital cameras on "MANUAL" right away and they master the concepts of correct exposure right off the bat.
About William
I have been doing commercial photography for over 40 years. I owned and operated a large studio on West 22nd Street in NYC for 20 of those years and I taught photography from 1988 to the present. I have never stopped. I like one-on-one sessions, but I have also conducted many workshops and classes

I have been a professional oil painter for 36 years and have taught oil and acrylic painting classes fro over a decade. I teach a casual, fun but serious style class. My goal is to teach the basics of creating a simple strong painting in a semi realistic style. However, my goal is to allow the student to develop their own individual style. Understanding the creative process is also key to making good art.
About Dan
My name is Dan. The only thing that I love more than painting is teaching students how to paint. I call my teaching method, "serious play". In other words, I want the students to learn something of value during each class, but also to enjoy the creative process that is key to making a successful p
