Bil is a great instructor. I was looking for an experienced Jazz pianist, as there are a lot of things about jazz you can only learn about someone extremely experienced. Bil doesn't disappoint- he explains things in a very intuitive and logical manner, on top of being extremely personable and enjoyable to learn from. I look forward to my future lessons with him.

Frankie helped me with my clarinet tone within the first 15 minutes of the first lesson, and gave me many more helpful playing tips throughout the hour. He was really interested in what my goals were. Looking forward to many more lessons with Frankie.

The first lesson will be as much a conversation as an applied lesson, functioning as a way to get a sense of the student's interests, experience-level, and personality. I ask that for the first lesson, the student bring in a recording of something they'd like to learn in the near future - or, if they have a longer-term sense of what they'd like to do, two recordings, one of which they would like to learn in the near future, and another of which they'd like to work towards learning as a longer-term goal.

After the first lesson, I will break up lessons into warmups (stretches and fretboard exercises), the study of repertoire (learning melodies and chords), and the relevant technique (scales, picking approaches, etc) for which the music calls. Time spent discussing theory will likely emerge from the teaching of the song, but can be approached with a variable level of depth - students less interested in theory will still come away from a lesson with some awareness of what's making the ...

I’ve had a few guitar lessons with Cole. Throughout, it was clear that Cole had a thorough knowledge of a wide range of styles and was very open to exploring anything I wanted to talk about. He is incredibly patient and uses very simple, accessible language whenever complex topics arise. Altogether, I totally recommend him to anyone who’s curious about picking up a guitar and taking some lessons.

Cole is extremely knowledgeable and communicates what he knows well, even to the most unknowing beginner. He employs a holistic approach to teaching, connecting what you're learning on guitar to music theory, history, as well as your own interests! Most importantly, he's patient, kind, and easy-going which keeps lessons fun, even in the frustration that comes with learning something new. I highly recommend him as a teacher!

I love working with children and being part of their early musical discovery. I'm devoted to the importance of learning through play and I strive to cultivate a nurturing and fun space where kids feel free to express themselves, make mistakes and grow.

Using music books and hand-picking popular songs that resonate with your child, we build a lesson plan that keeps them excited about music while developing their musical skills. Children learn to play chords during the first lesson and are able to play simple songs right away which is fun, encouraging and immediately rewarding.

Melaena was great with my 7 year old. Made her feel comfortable and able to open up with ideas and suggestions. She mediated the class well and allowed for all participants’ voices to be heard. Had an amazing end result each class. True treasures we’ll cherish forever.
Thanks for everything Melaena!

In a couple of years of lessons I learned more technique and and music theory than I did after 20 years on my own. Michael is a world class player/composer and a very patient teacher. "Steven is a great teacher! He's flexible, and works well with all ages! He's teaching my 3 kids, drums, guitar and bass. He's very receptive and adjusts his lessons according to what my kids are interested in. For example one of my kids was learning notes, but then the other wanted to learn a specific song and he easily adjusted to focus on what each of them wanted to do to. My kids love him!"

"I had been playing for 25+ years and wanted to learn some applied theory and some jazz. I made a great decision choosing Jared. I took lessons from Jared for 3 years, it was a great experience!

A few key things about Jared I want to share:
- He is always prepared and does his homework
- Incredibly knowledgably and patient
- He finds a way to explain things so they make sense
- Always goes above and beyond what I expected
- He provides materials to aid in learning from videos, backing tracks, tablature and musical notation
- Always smiling and happy to be teaching music

I easily recommend Jared as a teacher to players looking to learn music from beginner though to advanced level. It was an absolute pleasure to be Jared’s student."
