Having had to write many theses, book reports and critical essays on all sorts of media ranging from film and television to theater, concerts, stories, articles and books, I can help you generate an outline for your paper, understand the structure of your argument before you begin, and then help you flesh it out, checking your progress from lesson to lesson. I can also help you to generate a polemic or dialogue idea and spin this out in your paper.
Having also had a recent protracted legal situation which compelled me to write critical certifications and testimonials in legal language, I have developed a certain narrative technique for doing this, as well and can assist you in generating a narrative or critical; factual document which is succinct, yet descriptive and detailed.

I have known Tamari professionally for fifteen years.
She is an excellent music teacher for piano and voice. Her expertise is noticeable as she patiently meets her student at his/her level and guides that student to the next step.
The process is perfect for any student, even if developmentally challenged and for any age. I highly recommend Tamari.

I've been consistent weekly taking yoga lessons from Tamari at the Y in Canaan CT. I try not to miss it. She's a compassionate and caring yoga teacher and will trailer her classes to fit your needs. Her classes are good for newbies and seniors and those who want a simple class. No athletics. Hatha Yoga are basic yoga stretches that will make you feel good after participating . My aches and pains are gone after each session. To be continued....

Tamara is a very highly qualified, and extremely capable musician and instructor. While away on a leave from my position as music director at a local church, Tamara planned and provided the music for services, and led the congregation's music programs in my absence. While I was away, it was a great comfort to know that Tamara provided quality music for each service. In addition to demonstrating an extraordinary level of musicianship, Tamara is a dependable, and dedicated professional. I am pleased to provide my strongest recommendation!

My teaching certificate includes an endorsement in teaching reading K-12. I love books, I love imagination, I love teaching people to "see" their stories, but I also love helping them grow in their ability to read and understand what they've read. When a person struggles with knowing how to pronounce words, reading becomes an unreachable ordeal. This is where I come in. I have strong skills in teaching pronunciation, phonics, letter-sound strengths. I'm very patient and willing to help students every step of the way. Just call on me.

As a working professional in the airline industry, my role has been revolved around customer support & service for many years as a flight attendant and a gate agent. A friend of mine referred me to Lori given that he has a positive experience in improving his communication skills in English. Because I interacted daily with customers with different language backgrounds, I as non-native English speaker wanted to better communicate with them in a sophisticated way. Lori captured every single incorrectness from me - she is not picky but detail-oriented - and helped me speak more naturally but precisely. Although Lori and I only e-met online, she used a variety of tools to maximize her teaching effectiveness for our class by using Google docs, Skype, useful resources online, etc. Lori was also flexible to accommodate my availability. She is a thoughtful person who uplifts and challenges me, which I really appreciate! You would be fortunate to have her as your English teacher!

It was very fortunate to meet with Lori. I was looking for someone who can help me hone my professional communication skills in English at workplace in both speaking and writing. During class, I experienced many WoW moments because she didn't simply spend our class to find incorrect grammar and misspellings. Instead, Lori fundamentally changed my thought process in my English writing from a cultural perspective so that I don't just mechanically emulate my mother tongue into English. Instead, I was always encouraged to put myself on the American audience shoes in regards to the best optimal story-telling context. Also, she has a very good understanding of difficulties for international folks in English pronunciation. This is one of the beauties you would enjoy when you have Lori as your coach. She just doesn't ask you to mimic her pronunciation. Her pronunciation class is designed to help you understand how to make sounds properly and to reduce accents. Last but not least, Lori is a wonderful person to work with. She is humble, tactful, and generous of spirit. I highly recommend you to start one class to get a sense of what I just said. Meeting her is Believing!

Lori is not only a great teacher, but a dear friend and mentor. She has tons of experience teaching students of different ages (from little kids to adults), with various social and cultural backgrounds, and all over the world (North America, Asia, and Africa)! Her teaching is very because she teaches to not only impart knowledge/skills, but also pass on a good spirit.

"Linda is very patient with my Asperger's/ADHD son. She has offered several different ways to approach his math work and clearly was thinking about new approaches between visits. She is a kind, gentle woman and having her help with the work has been so helpful. She even spent extra time to show him some guitar, in case we want to take lessons (upon my request because we're interested in that). Linda has offered advice on several resources that I didn't know about for my journey to assist my son with his challenges. We have been very happy with Linda."

"In our limited time together, Colin effectively helped me to prepare and be ready for the AP Calculus exam. He was able to cover any topic that I had questions on, and in great detail; he always explained each step of every problem thoroughly, not leaving anything out of the picture.

Another thing worth mentioning is Colin's passionate approach to teaching. He would always go about each lesson with unmistakable enthusiasm, showing that even calculus could be fun, if you were willing to see it as so. He was also always willing to go all the way with any problem, even if it went over the time limit; he wanted to make sure that I had no questions or concerns about any topic, no matter how complex it might have been. So, all in all, if you are looking for a suitable calculus tutor, Colin is certainly a very worthy option!"
