I am a classically trained singer, and I prioritize health above all else when teaching voice. As a soloist, I work with students to improve their abilities to sing confidently and technically efficient by themselves. I teach everything from standard operatic repertoire, musical theater (helping them get roles like Cinderella from "Into the Woods" and Gabriella from "High School Musical"), popular music, and much more. I love learning from my students and their interests.

I love teaching and I have been doing it for 14 years. I started teaching as an adjunct professor at Florida State University while receiving my Masters degree in vocal performance. I have gone on to sing with small Opera companies, Universal Studios, and cruise ships. However, teaching is something that I remain passionate about. For me it is rewarding to see my students grow as performers and become stronger singers.

I have studied classical voice from the age of 13 with instructors from The Metropolitan Opera. I have sung classical arias in Italian, German, French and Latin.
In our lesson, we will focus on the three pillars of singing: Alignment, breathing, and relaxation. We will work on classical vocal technique through simple exercises. I have exercises for people of all vocal ranges and types. I will adapt my lessons to your specific needs.
We will select the perfect music for you to work on, and I will accompany you on piano. If the music is in a foreign language, I can work on pronunciation with you. If needed, I will record piano tracks for you to practice in between lessons.
Feel free to reach out with any questions. I can't wait to get started!

really approachable."

Now with Asuka he feels most comfortable and feels he learns more per lesson with Asuka. More progress with all aspects of voice. She helps prepare for auditions with Broadway vocals and advance on the more serious and challenging Opera selections.
So the actual lessons are great and Asuka is also a charm; engaging and personable. As the parent I very much like she remains a professional singer as her career.
So we are staying with Asuka through the breaks and may even extend into piano lessons as well.
I would recommend Asuka without hesitation."

Amber is the best voice teacher I have ever had. I needed help quickly to prepare an audition piece for a University I was applying to out of state. I was under a real deadline and I had heard about Amber from one of her other students. We began to work on the piece and it was obvious I needed help with some of my techniques. Even though Amber was fitting me between other scheduled lessons, she found another time the next day and we worked on technique and over the next few days finished the audition piece. It was incredible and even the voice faculty commented on my song, and they were really impressed."

It is always exciting when a vocal student is ready to start studying his or her first operatic aria! One of the best things about being a classical singer is knowing you have so many great years ahead of you. After all, you’re considered in your prime in your 40s. That being said, realize that the voice you have now and the repertoire you’ll first study will be very, very different from what you sing later on in your career. It’s absolutely crucial that you sing repertoire that is …
