About Daniel
Since its founding in 2006, I have been involved Neighbor to Neighbor Outreach (NTNO), a non-profit organization whose goal it is to insure that the children, youth, and adults of inner-city St. Louis are provided tutoring for every imaginable subject.
My teaching style is quite simple and effective. I initially gauge the student's level of understanding of the subject or skill that he/she wishes to master. I then create a comprehensive learning plan which pushes the student to his/her limits while making the learning process both enjoyable and rewarding.
If you find yourself in need of my assistance, just let me kn

"I've been teaching Spanish for 3 years and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of Spanish culture. Within the first few lessons, you'll start speaking simple sentences and as time goes on, you'll be able to conjugate like a pro! I typically use the Plazas textbooks, and have the following tools available for your lessons: worksheets, textbooks, and more. I love working with students of all experience levels and espero contar con su presencia!

Personalised and dynamic classes for all levels!
Lessons are shaped to the student's need: grammar, vocabulary, fluency, accent...
About Raquel
I have been tutoring students since I was an undergrad back in Spain. While doing so, I realised there are very few better feelings besides the satisfaction of being a part of the improvement of your student's skills and knowledge.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in philology, so I have a deep knowledge on how languages construct themselves and work. Besides, I have a Master's degree in Literary Studies and am currently a PhD student in Literary Studies. But most importantly, I was born in Madrid (Spain) and lived there for over twenty years, so you'll get to learn Spanish and its culture from a truly Madrilenian!
My tutoring approach is based mostly on theory and practice, with a lot of perseverance! I usually like to teach some aspect of the language and then make the student approach it in a practical way. Lessons can be tailor

Additionally, DePaul University's courses in pedagogy and orchestral repertoire, taught by members of the Chicago Symphony and San Fransisco Symphony Orchestras, have helped shape my teaching to accommodate all skill levels and various learning styles.
After completing school in Chicago, I moved to Boston to further my performance and teaching careers while pursing a Masters in music performance at The Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA.
In order to have a fulfilling plan, I believe that students should work at their own pace with guidance and support while setting realistic

CloseWanting to learn Spanish for your business, travels, or just to meet and have a good conversation with a Hispanic person? I can help you with that.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico thus, Spanish is my first language.
I can teach you the formal Spanish so you can win Spanish speaking clients, write the essay for your Spanish school class, or have a conversation with that special person. I also can teach you the informal English so you can have conversations with Hispanic friends or the Hispanic family of your loved one ;)
I know how difficult is to learn a new language. That happened to me when I came to the United States and didn't know how to say a full sentence in English. Having a conversation in that new language is the hardest part in this process. But I will show you examples that you may encounter in real life.
I have a Masters degree from Puerto Rico. My Thesis was written all in Spanish. I also have a PhD but this one was all in English. And something else? My mother ...
