I love teaching Algebra. I think math is very enjoyable and I share my happiness and knowledge, so my students could feel that also. You would probably laugh quite a few times during my Algebra class and leave it feeling way more confident that you could do it. I do not believe in memorizing Math, so we work on understanding and students are creating their own Algebra in a way. And creating a proof is a very enjoyable experience that you never forget.

I also love teaching online. There are so many wonderful tools for that now!!! For example, screen sharing. Screen sharing allows my students to see my computer screen if I'm explaining something and show me what they are working on their screens. As we progress through the class I share links on rules and definitions that my student doesn't remember or getting confused and we could work with that right away and also the notes on the class are still available on both of our computers, so it is easy to review, ask questions and ...

About Marina

Math suck! I get it. But like a coin, there's another side to it. It can be fun or at least tolerable. I'll teach you not to overthink it and just do math. It's simple, really. All my students, from ages 8 to 20 all end up saying, "Oh, that wasn't so hard!"

I like to + some fun and humor in my tutor sessions so it should be more tolerable for you. Also, it makes it stick longer!

About Lillian

I've been tutoring elementary student in Common Core math this past year. It is definitely different than what we were taught when I was young. But I firmly believe that having more tools in your toolbelt is more advantageous than not. While I only listed I tutor Biology and Algebra on here, I know

To whom it may concern,
Diana L. Has been an amazing instructor for the past couple of months. She has encouraged me and pushed me to do better in math. She explains the material in different ways to find a perfect fit for me to understand. She’s very cooperative and values teaching. She has helped me in every way possible. She gives session notes so I can study the material afterwards in order to help me retain everything. I highly recommend her teaching!

To Whom it may concern,

I am writing this review because something amazing has been taking place with my child since she's been working with Ms. Diana L.

My Daughter Chelsea struggled for years in math and she lacked mathematical confidence, but since she's been working with Diana her Math skills and confidence have increased dramatically.

Ms. L. takes a flexible approach to teaching and finding the best tailored approach for her students. I believe this approach is the reason for my daughters' recent success. Diana has only been working with Chelsea for a few months and her test scores and class participation have increased greatly.

I would recommend Ms. L. to any one that has a child that struggles in any area of Math , she has done wonders for my child and I am highly appreciative to her for all her teaching.

Sincerely,
Cliff Lawrence

I stress understanding rather than memorizing formulas. This ensures my students can derive formulas/solutions even without memorization.

I know firsthand how difficult it is to learn programming whether you are a total newbie, or a budding intermediate, but I have overcame these challenges myself and will guide you to overcome them too. I also have close to 10 years of tutoring experience, which will surely come in handy!

I recommend just starting with a single 15-minute lesson to see if we are good fits for each other and start a roadmap to progress toward your goals! My rates is for a one-off session, but it is extremely negotiable if we work together regularly.

About Bill

I have always been a self-studier my entire life. Being able to learn with just books and your brain is a crucial skill to have. However, I know not everyone (and sometimes even myself) have the discipline and motivation to keep going during hard times. Or maybe the teacher/professor is not the best

"My daughter has been working with Colin in Biology and Algebra for this school year and he has done an absolutely wonderful job with her. What makes Colin such a great teacher and leader is his ability to be very patient and really take the time that is necessary to ensure my daughter truly understands the topics she is being taught in school. Additionally, he has provided her with study techniques on how she can improve on understanding what she is learning and prepare for exams; it has made a tremendous difference in her performance. I highly recommend Colin; he is one of the very best teachers."

"We are very fortunate to have found Colin to tutor our son, who is 14, in algebra. He was struggling in his class and with his confidence in math, but after his first few sessions with Colin his quiz and test scores in algebra came up. Not only that, but he even teaches his classmates the techniques he has learned with Colin. Very impressed with our son’s progress. Thank you Colin!"
